Think we score a ton of points and give up even more.
Not necessarily playoffs, but entertaining and fun to watch............
Rubbish...a few more offseasons and have the team will.be gone. Football doesnt work that way anymore.
Why would beason or Schwartz be on pup?
And yet doesn't even know his name...
It's not the accent. He butchers every name because he simply doesn't know it. I think he even called Robert Griffin "Robert Griff" once.
Cross then longer than that ;)
It's hardly smooth sailing just b/c camp ends
If I could I would put money on both of these guys missing practice time with various ailments all through training camp.

I would have thought half the team would be arriving on crutches and in wheelchairs.

That'll be after tomorrow's practice.
LOL Giants PR folks can't identify some of the players. Love Prince's shirt.
Just terrible.
I want to like the back 7 of this defense. I really do...but I can't until they prove they can play in space and knock the crap out of the opposing RBs. Every time I get excited about the LBs and even the secondary they let me down it seems.
I think Flowers and Richburg are huge huge keys to this season but I kinda feel that the back 7 is going to make or break the season. THE DL should be ok at worst..the offense should score points--probably close to 400 or more. The back 7 has to play well this season. Younger guys like Kennard and Prince and the safeties..along with the vets DRC, Beason, McClain, the vet FA LB...it's time to make some fucking plays back there and I am not talking about turnovers. Stop the fucking run and those screen passes. Spags has to make it happen this year.
There is no such thing as a 2-3 year plan in the NFL. If the Giants don't win this year why would they win in 2016?
The time is now. Win some fucking games. It's time for the new guys to step up and take this team by the horns and lead it. Guys like Flowers, Richburg, Pugh, Vereen, Jennings, Williams, OBJ, Randle, Kennard, Wynn, Hank, Odi, Prince, DRC, Collins...and more...some of these kids are still very raw and unseasoned but most of these guys need to step up NOW. NExt year? WTF is going to happen to these 2nd and 3rd year guys in 2016 that wouldn't happen in 2015? The time is now. If this team has truly turned the corner in terms of talent upgrades then it's going to manifest this season. I think the talent has been upgraded across the board but we won't know what this team is until they play the games. I am excited. We finally have a young core again and we have some field tilting cheat code talent. Go out and kick ass.
At least we wont have to see 60 yard bombs on 3rd n 2 like under gillbride.
Those of us old enough to remember 70s fashion trends would call it a Dashiki. Prince seems like a fun, quirky kid.

Really? In what way? He looked fine to me, but i'm certainly no expert.

You'll miss those shotgun draws on 3rd & 10 though, admit it.
After news broke that Long would be visiting the Broncos Thursday (today), KUSA-TV's Mike Klis suggest that a "key part" of Long's visit will be his physical examination. That's because Long is coming off back-to-back ACL injuries.
Long passed his physical with the Giants, so he'll probably pass it with the Broncos.

Do Giants have any idea when JPP will show up? John Mara: "None."

One reason John Mara says JPP should be here: "We have the best training staff in the league."
Ralph Vacchiano @RVacchianoNYDN 4m4 minutes ago
John Mara said no one from Giants has examined JPP yet: "We have no idea what condition he's in."
Mara on JPP: Nothing is on the table.

John Mara says Giants made JPP an offer "some time ago." But "nothing is on the table now until we see him."
Giants 360 @Giants360 1m1 minute ago
Mara: We will move forward as if we won't have Jason Pierre-Paul. #NYGiants #GiantsNation #NYG
John Mara also is confident an Eli Manning deal will eventually get done. ... So is Eli's camp. It's just not imminent.

Justin Pugh: body fat as low as it's ever been. Weighs 307 #giants

You can see the low body fat in Pugh's facial photo, he's so lean. He can be a great OG with his feet.
Veteran WR James Jones is visiting #Giants, Im told. The hope for both sides is itll turn into a signing. More firepower for that offense
Merry New Year G-Men
Richie Seubert wasn't the greatest at getting "push" either, but he was a rock star pulling and very tough to beat mano a mano rushing the passer. I think that's what TC wants more out of his OLG. And the RG is the push/power guy, like Snee was. Although certainly Snee was mobile as well.

After Practice Tom Coughlin available on field

Was there a doubt?

I agree! Awesome addition to the site.
Glass half full - at least he's out there! For now, anyway...
Looks like Bennett Jackson starting with 1st team reps at safety alongside Landon Collins today. We'll see in team drills. #NYG
Geoff Schwartz is now out here at practice. John Jerry still at RG with 1st team. Could just be a rest day for Schwartz.
Eli Manning to Victor Cruz for the TD.
No Salsa.
Devon Kennard just blew up Marshall Newhouse for goal-line run stop #giants
Nat Berhe and Cooper Taylor working as 2nd team safety tandem
Larry Donnell with a sliding catch from Eli on a middle crosser. His first highlight of camp.
Giamts having punt contest between offense + defense.
@BigTimeHank makes circus catch.
Marshall Newhouse drops.
@tmoore94 + John Jerry make
Did he really have to post that Newhouse dropped the punt in a meaningless contest? LOL. Damn. Just harsh.
Johnny Boy must have the day off. Lithium filling in admirably for him, though.
James Jones, working with Nassib, just made a tough deep sideline catch. Couldn't see the corner.

Like I stated, easily. When I'm sure most morons on BBI were praising pukes like Joseph or Brewer, it took me all of one preseason quarter to realize they were worthless. These are just examples of a long list.
Tom Coughlin says Geoff Schwartz was held because of soreness
Geoff Schwartz had some soreness in his ankle, hence the rest day, per Coughlin.
A: Im limited in just sometimes it just gets sore or whatever. Im not going to re-injure it. Im not worried about that. Its just a matter of getting the strength back. I was really pleased with how yesterday went, at least the reps wise. I think were all a little rusty, but I was pleased.
Have to get someone other than John Jerry up to speed at RG, and the sooner the better.
3 stars for Day 3 of #NYG TC
1. Devon Kennard
2. Bennett Jackson
3. Victor Cruz
Regardless, Geoff Schwartz has yet to show that he can stay healthy, and if he can't, I hope the Giants can find a better option than John Jerry, who is an abysmal run-blocker, though a fair-to-middling pass-blocker.
They had Hart playing RT in the OTAs, too, but I thought they'd move him to RG once camp started. I guess not. He's certainly got good size, but his athleticism leaves a lot to be desired.

looked good at RT. FWIW

RG seems that is where he should go. But maybe he's better than what's there at RT...????
Hold onto your butts...

I've always felt that we think alike on Giants' football, God help me :)
Ereck Flowers off to the side w trainer. Stretching lower body. Does not appear he'll work today.
It's Loooong time :P
Giants 1st team OL with Flowers not practicing:
LT Justin Pugh
LG Adam Getting
C Weston Richburg
RG Geoff Schwartz
RT Marshall Newhouse

Yikes...
Same can be said for any team that loses its top 2 (left) tackles this quickly. Hopefully EF gets back on the field quickly.

Yes, but my comment was more about what the OL would look like if Pugh was moved to LT, as in it's not a good case scenario.
I haven't seen Taylor mentioned in a couple of days. What's up with him? He's not working with 1's or 2's today from what I saw tweeted

Was with the 2's yesterday (or Sat) IIRC
Well there is a "top" FA LG that's available if Pugh slides out to OT... :)

I think he played first day of camp with Collins as the 1's
Recently, Reese said that while the Giants look at measure ables, the key factor in deciding about a player is seeing how they actually perform.
OK but it might be interesting to see how Moore performs in Training Camp as well as the pre-season games because of the log-jam along the DL as well as the addition of Brad Bars to the mix.
The NFL average for the DL is as follows:
Broad Jump 9.44"
Vertical. 30.69"
3-Cone. 7.46
Short Shut. 4.55
40 yards. 4.90
10 yards. 1.69
Moore at 6'4" 265 lbs. Is: 10'2" 35.6" 7.08 4.33 4.95 1.72
Wynn at 6'5" 270 lbs is: 9.5" 34" 7.53 4.73 4.70 1.64
Bars at 6'3" 261 lbs is: 9'7" 32". 7.09 4.30 4.78 1.68
The points I'm making are that Bars, based on the measureables, is a very good UDFA signing, exceeds all NFL average scores and while Moore shows more explosion (broad jump and vertical) Bars is more nimble (3-cone and short shuttle) and is faster (40 yards) and quicker (10 yards) than Moore.
I'm putting Bars on my Deep Sleeper list although I recognize that he'd have to beat out a lot of players to make the 53 man roster. Also, hopefully Moore will continue to develop as a FB player to justify his high-pick choice by Reese/Ross.
4th day of camp, for god's sake. If you thought they were getting out of camp without nicks and bruises you don't follow football. I think they are being overly cautious and sitting people at the hint of muscle pulls. This will give two days off.
Hell if you really want Steve to get serious he needs to post up OO's combine #s and tell all those other DEs to sit the phuck down or pick up a mop and pail...
Sorry, what am I missing - are you just parroting the nebulous BBI whiners? My sarcasm alarm is turned off.
Yeah, but that is to be expected. I'm just not worrying at this point. Sure that line basically blows, but Schwartz to RT, Jerry RG, Richburg C, (Plug in? LG) and Pugh LT is functional - might have Hart at LG or Jones.
Wouldn't be surprised by camp end if Schwartz is the RT over Newhouse/Mosley and Jerry stays at RG.
They probably overworked Flowers and strained that hip flexor. Young guys heal quickly (knock wood).
They only have $4.6 mill left under the cap, so Mathias and Long are probably out.
Broad Jump 10.07"
Vertical 33"
3-Cone 7.36
Short Shut. 4.19
40 yards 4.62
10 yards 1.61
Of course, I knew that Bars was signed because of injuries to other players, having been initially looked at and passed over. He probably is camp fodder. But, he has measureables that for the most part are better than Moore's and better than the NFL average. Moore has not been able to hold his position on running plays- we know that. Can Bars do better than Moore? Who knows? Who would have thought at this time last year that Wynn would make the team and play well in games?

Not going there...
LG - Schwarz
OC - Richburg
RG - Jerry
RT - Flowers
I still don't see a 21 year old raw rookie handling LT. Pugh will end up being the starter until Beatty comes back. If someone like Mosely can surprise and win the OG spot over Jerry well that would be great. Mosely isn't a rookie and it is his second year in this system so he should be fine if he finally shows something.
I don't see some veteran savior at this point. I'm rather hoping we just stay healthy; find the right mix of vets and rookies including Hart and make it work.
No, because our crack beat writer corps has better things to do than letting us know who's playing where. We wouldn't have known about Hart if it wasn't for YANKEE28.

Still early, but I don't think Flowers has played anywhere but LT, which means they are going to live or die with him there. Assuming everyone's healthy, the only question to me is on the right side. Do we see Jerry-Schwartz or Schwartz-Newhouse or Schwartz-Mosley?
Anyone know what that's all about?

Dude, I don't mean to be insulting, but give it up already. You don't see Flowers starting at LT? Well, I suggest you open your eyes, because that's where the Giants see him, which is why they've put him there since Day One, and why they've been working overtime to get him up to speed. If the Giants wanted Pugh there, he'd be playing there, but as long as Flowers is healthy then Pugh will be playing LG, which is where the Giants want him.
As for RG...although they won't admit it, I believe the Giants recognized that playing Schwartz at LG was a mistake, and it would be best for the team if he went back to RG where he made his bones in KC. Why would you want to put him back to LG? You want John Jerry starting at RG? He can't run-block for love or money, and it's imperative that the Giants run the ball effectively this year. That will keep the pressure off of Eli and the defense.
Agreed. I don't even think Bars was a starter on Penn State
