effects are related to normal metabolism of sugar and caffeine.... for instance all that coffee you drink will have many of the same effects, especially if you don't drink it black. By the way, there is no way that the diuretic effect of coke is a net negative.... I am 100% sure that if you drank nothing else you would not die of dehydration.
but is happening at such low levels that it is not really an issue
Exactly. Its not news that soda sucks for you, but those facts are a bit much. Maybe that's when happens when a 5 year old drinks a can, but not a healthy adult.
Soda has always been a good cleaning agent. Selzer will get stains out of anything.
to understand what Coke is doing to your body, even if the scale is smaller than the graphic would indicate. A coke every now and then isn't a big deal, but people who drink it constantly are poisoning themselves.

I enjoy a soda, but I know people who drink diet or regular soda by the 2-liter. Never understood why. After two cans, which is rare, I start to feel queasy.
Coke has sugar and caffeine. That makes it dessert. It's perfectly fine in moderation.
Peanutz, I plan to unleash my students on my fellow faculty with a petition to ban DiHydrogen Monoxide as an experiment in a critical thinking class. Lol.
over the past couple of decades is probably the biggest cause in the spike of diabetes. I wish people realized what they were doing to their body by drinking those. And no, Diet Soda isn't a safe alternative.

No offense but you are telling them what to do in a critical thinking class? Sounds backwards
These two products should not have the same ingredients

What exactly is the issue with diet soda? It doesn't have the sugar that regular soda does right?

Giving them assignment is telling them what to do? Hard to be a teacher, I guess.
I'm certainly no expert, but while I think that illustration
exaggerates the matter at least for most people, there is a fair amount of truth in it. As was said, an occasional coke isn't going to kill you, it's a habit to avoid - as are most soft drinks.

I just thought it an interesting graphic. I'm no expert in medicine. But the above was about sugar, not aspartame or whatever,so it may not be entirely relevant to the claim above.
I'm just trying to help you with my holistic therapy.
Not sure your approach is really holistic as much as McCarthiastic (I made up that word in reference to our favorite dumb blonde).
I don't have an approach. Just saw a picture.
Any my favorite dumb blonde is Woody Harrelson.
Serenity now.
I know...and that's what Jenny McCarthy also probably did...just did a quick google search, found something to latch her feeble mind to in order to find an acceptable cause for her son's autism, and just started spreading it to people without much thought.
Yep, drinking coke and vetting vaccinated are roughly

yeah the vacination myth was completely disproven.

What exactly is the issue with diet soda? It doesn't have the sugar that regular soda does right?
I believe the issue is it tricks your body into thinking there is a sugar spike in your system so the body tries to convert any sugar it can into fat just like it would with a regular soda. Maybe someone who knows more can elaborate.
I don't think this is propaganda. Its vague with the levels and is written to sound extreme but this is not news. Soda is really bad for you and should not be part of a regular diet. Just like everything bad you moderation is the key. A soda once or twice a week is fine but a soda everyday is not moderation. High fructose corn syrup and soda specifically is one of the biggest reasons obesity is widespread today
RE: RE: RE: Yep, drinking coke and vetting vaccinated are roughly
Dihydrogen Monoxide is a fancy way of saying "water". But because it sounds like a dangerous chemical leads people to be fine with joining a petition to ban it. Having people sign petitions to ban it is a way of illustrating how people will sign on to things they know nothing about. It serves a critical thinking class by illustrating to students how mass-movements are sometimes underwritten by scientific ignorance and groupthink. Having them target their professors shows how even PhD's aren't immune.
The point isn't at all to get my students to be my surrogate activists for some cause of mine; if anything, it serves the purpose of calling such things into question.
or heaven forbid, eat a hot dog.
or all 3 at a baseball game.
I thought that only happened from jerking off while drinking a Coke..................
This just happens to me when I read graphics about coke's debilitating effects on health. Odd.

Well what about us more well endowed guys? Is that what this big mouth cans were for? Putting those moils out of business on he day of the Bris?
I'm here a week. And that did make me laugh and cringe at the same time MG
I enjoy a soda, but I know people who drink diet or regular soda by the 2-liter. Never understood why. After two cans, which is rare, I start to feel queasy.

It becomes palatable. Or at least worth the calories
What are you going to tell us next? How eating grilled red meat gives us cancer?

Also, what's up with the supposed high you get from it? Haha. I've never felt that way drinking anything.

One doesn't have to be upset to point out the comedic nature of this thread.

That being said a soda here and there is ok. But the addictive elements make that hard for some I guess.
Somebody needs some aromatherapy, stat.

If you didn't get stabbed with a fork, then it's not that interesting.
Impressive.
I wrote it seems. That is based off of columbia research. Far from proven but it seems it might be the case.
It doesn't, but you're entitled to your opinion.
