But that's the kind of pitcher he is now. He has no velocity and no deception to him, so any mistake he makes will get pounded. When he threw 95-97, he could get away with a few mistakes and just blow people away. Now, when you throw 91 over the middle, it's night night.

I still remember him pitching on short rest just to get MIL into the playoffs to lose in round 1. 130, 140 pitch efforts.. eventually your arm just says, "fuck, I'm done throwing that hard."

I was hopeful he would evolve into a Mussina or Andy-type, but it's clear that's not happening.
