NFT: Tampa Bay BBI - How ya holding up?

Ben in Tampa : 8/3/2015 11:38 am
The flooding is just the shit cherry on top of this miserable rainy summer. There are cars floating in the streets around my house. I had a little bit of water enter the house in a few spots but nothing devastating, although my Garage flooded.

I'm South Tampa. I know there are places much worse off right now.

being going down there since i was kid and was just there a few weeks ago and it poured almost every day .My friend who lives right off south mcdill ave said he had a small lake in front of his house ,He always tells me he is out of the flood zone but I found that odd since the water is only a few blocks away

I am also out of the flood zone, but I could go paddle boarding one block over. There are some counties under emergency evacuation right now; thankful that's not us.

My wife is pretty much all frayed nerves right now.
I'm in Clermont and ya know

what they say 'it could be railing across the street and I'm dry'

well I've had just under 2 inches in the past week and watching the radar everywhere else it's been monsoons. just either goes a bit north or south but not much here. Although it's been raining all day today!

Stay dry brother!

I was in a Hooters in Clearwater watching the news in Tampa, showing a car floating downhill in flooding live, while looking out the window where I was it was barely raining. Crazy stuff.

Stay dry!
Crazy going to work today

I was over by Armenia & Kennedy on Saturday. The water had to be 2 feet high. I have some pics of it. Too lazy to post them though. I work in St. Pete & I didn't have a problem getting over here this morning. Thank God
I'm up in north-east Pinellas near the Pasco line...

... but my property is high enough up that I haven't had any issues. We had over 6 inches of rain today and over 21 inches in the last 11 days. Some pretty bad flooding not too far away from me, though on the Anclote River.

Fred -- I think you said you had an aunt near Alderman and US-19. I think that area is still OK but Alderman at Alt-19 was closed before with Alt-19 between Alderman south to Curlew closed because of flooding.

Stay safe everyone.

Awesome!

The backyard is an absolute mess but overall, we're lucky. No flooding in the house, and we can get around fine to where we need to go in our immediate local area. But damn this is a LOT of water. Since I've lived here (about 8 years) I've not seen anything like it.

lives in Tampa. He can't drive to see customers so he's staying in. Told me half the intersections are underwater and there are trapped cars everywhere.

Stay safe guys.
