In my life 2 times Mets ruled this city and NYY fan reaction was Seaver and Koosman are not all that (69) and wait till u play Bosox (86)

NYY deserve credit for their season my ? is why are their fans more concerned about Mets getting the back pages?
Rich Coutinho
I know Mets r getting very good when NYY fans get that high pitched screaming voice about NY baseball That train is never late

I remember as a kid in 1969 when Mets finally took sole possession of first place from Cubs, Seaver said, "My God we have a magic #."

Cespedes has a lower OPS than Parra. Worse player. Mets fucked up their asset management.
I assume this was radar?
Need you ask? LOL, of course it was that nitwit...
I never said this but I wouldn't expect much less from this trio of dimwits. I said the Mets paid more for a Cespedes rental despite Para having a similar season.
35, 42 (YC debut), 36. The Niese SD game was 35, and the Colon game was 24. Harvey vs LAD was 40 (weekend). Attendance is already up from 26.5 last year to 30.25 this year. If we can average 35 per the rest of the way over the remaining 25 home games we'll get to 2.6 million, 31.7k/game and +421k over 2014.
Next year's projections are more important. They'll sell more tickets. With these pitchers, a season ticket makes a lot of sense. 37k per game gets you 3 million for the season. We top out at 3.65 million -- Citi is smaller than Shea, where we cracked 4 million in 2008. We drew 3.169 million in 2009, which was a 70 win year but also the first year of Citi.
Actually, you claimed it was a "massive overpay" and also said that Cespedes had inflated numbers because of a "great lineup" and "one great month". I guess our lineup is murderers row as well because the change sure didn't seem to effect him last night.
And you basically said it was a bad move because of poor asset management. We'll see how long you cling onto that one.

You yammered on and on - and on - about "poor asset management". Now you want to change the narrative? We're not as dumb as you, so we're not going to fall for it..
is absolutely NO CHANCE Dillon Gee is a Met next year. None. They aren't paying Dillon Gee roughly 6 million to be an extra starter. He and Parnell are goners. I guess Parnell could be so bad that he comes back on a minor league deal but they are gone. Colon is gone, Murphy more likely than not gone, Tejada likely gone, Uribe and Johnson likely gone due to price, Clippard gone
Tejada is interesting -- may need to arb him for 1 year to bridge the gap. Who plays SS next year if he's gone? Too early for Cecc to start the season in Queens. I think Herrera breaks camp as the 2B and that Flores will roam all over -- picking up 400-600 ABs in a Zobrist type role (3B for 4 weeks when X is hurt, then 2B for 2 weeks when Y isnt hitting...). Maybe Flores holds down SS until Cecc comes up, but it's risky. They dont like Wilmer at SS.
I could see Johnson resigned if he doesnt need more than the $1.5 he makes this year.
Kelly Johnson's versatility seems to be understated. I would try to re-sign between him and Uribe. He could be a poor man's Zobrist with worse defense and hitting.
Between Johnson and Flores, that's supersubs to cover everything except CF and C. It would be hugely valuable.
Also, we need to stop bickering over the price we paid for Ces. I thought it was very steep, but what's done is done and Im happy to root for the new guy. And frankly, even if you didnt like the deal at the time, the 4 game standings swing vis a vis the Nats should at least have you rethinking that. I'd have liked the move a lot more if we were even or +1 vs DC.

Wright just took full BP in Miami and raked. Hit a HR over the ribbon board in LCF and a one-hopper off the State Farm sign in right-center.

Wright came up in 2004.. 05 we added Pedro and Beltran but Beltran had a down year and the team wasn't very good.
09 was a mess. First year at Citi, tons of injuries. That was the Castillo dropped fly ball year. Fernando Nieve was getting starts for us that season.

I know he came up in 04, but he got to have a taste of winning pretty early was the point. It's just a great shame that he wasted his healthy years on garbage ball, and now he may or may not be the same going forward.
Meanwhile, you told us there would be "no way" Wilpon would let Wright play for Mets again. That the Mets would get a "board of directors" of doctors to prevent him from stepping on the field again. Well guess what? He's doing baseball related activities, and if the insurance payments haven't stopped yet (based on his level of activities), they will real soon.
Good call!
LOL...
If you paid for an education i suggest asking for refund as none of what you posted is true. Learn to to read and maybe thinking won't be too far behind.
sounds great in theory but like we mentioned earlier, how do you keep him on the roster? Cuddyer and Wright likely do replace Cambell and Conforto unless you are very creative. So who does Davis replace? Uribe? Johnson? Flores? I just don't see a spot unless you are solely acquiring him for September.

Actually, it's 100% true. I'm not in the business of saving NFT threads, next time I will for sure...

I worry about that when all of these guys are here and healthy. They are already walking back David Wright's timeframe saying he will play at least 5 rehab games and then reassess so 8/15 aint happening. Win games, worry later.

I'm sure he'll ignore it going forward, just like he ignored Bill2 on the Iran thread. LOL...

Nice!
Poor bastard came up for 2006 and hasn't played a meaningful game since 2009.

I'm not giving up anything of note but if they want Tovar or Ceciliani they can have them for Davis. Just like Gee for Martin would be fine too.

I thought 8/15 was more Wright's goal though. Either way I guess if Davis costs little to nothing it might be smart.

Gotcha and for that little Id agree 100%.
