Q: Yesterday, specifically for you, did you like what you were able to get done against the Bengals?
A: Yeah, yesterday went pretty well, got better yesterday. So, looking forward to tomorrow.
Q: What did you learn from these joint practices, if anything?
A: It’s good work. We’ve been working hard every day, so it’s pretty much the same thing we’ve been doing.
Q: What’s your feeling going into tomorrow night’s game, obviously a start for you?
A: I’m excited, first game, so I came in, got some good work. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
Q: Are you pretty much over the hip flexor issue now?
A: Yeah, it’s gotten a lot better than what it was.
Q: Is it a big deal for you to play in your first preseason game?
A: Yeah, it’s going to be good for me to play any game I dress up in. I’m not the type of guy to want to miss games. It’s a big deal.
Q: I know you missed a couple of days, but you’ve been out there for the most part. Do you feel caught up?
A: Yeah, I’ve always taken mental reps and watched a lot of film. I try to prepare myself the best I can.
Q: How’d you think the line did in the two days of practice?
A: I think we did pretty well, we did pretty good. I think everybody came out there and got a lot better and improved. It was great work.
Q: Was it helpful for you to see another team for the first time?
A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was really helpful. You get to see what you’re going against and what it’s like and what you need to correct, and different people do certain things. It was a great experience.
Q: What was the biggest challenge for you out there?
A: My biggest challenge—it’s not so much as I had a biggest challenge. I really just wanted to go out there and get better in all aspects, really just progress. I think I progressed. It was more so me wanting to get overall better than me having some biggest challenge.
My assumption is that Flowers learns and learns quickly how to avoid that mistake in the future but I will be shocked if he doesn't get beaten early and have everyone up in arms for a little bit.
I think most of us expect this.

Okie...I guarantee you a meltdown on the game thread if he gives up a sack.

of course he is going to give up sacks and make mistakes. Of course other teams are going to dissect his tape with a fine tooth comb and find his flaws.

Oh, I agree 100 percent! I think there will be a ton of people overreacting.
Most of us realize this is going to take time to shake out...and I think a few(just a few)of the posters around here are a little short of patience when it comes to these things!
I'm a bit scared to have a rookie back there but feel good about this young monster of a man. If I had to go deep into the woods and would likely run into a sasquatch, I can't think of a better person to be with.
JonC is right. As Flowers goes, so does this season.
I think most of us expect this.
Okie...I guarantee you a meltdown on the game thread if he gives up a sack.
He's going to give up sacks? He's going to make mistakes? Knowing that why do I need to wait for a feakin' game thread to freak out in? I'm in on it now. Holy shit, what in hell did we draft him for? Another colossal Reese screw up. Oy vey, 3-13.
