This Game is Going to End Up 15-15

like a pinochle score.
I agree on the final 3 WRs
Matt M. : 8/22/2015 10:02 pm : link
being Jones, Harris, and Davis at this point. Parker and ?Washington have underwhelmed thus far.

Milton. Jones leads the team with catches/yards for the game and had a nice catch/big gain by the sidelines before the half was over.

He's been in the game. Hasn't done anything.

If you compare Fewell and Spags, you see a big difference in how they use LBs. Giants fans will grow to enjoy LB play again.
Want to see 21 or more points out of the Giants tonight.

Who makes the team? Darkwa, Hunt or neither?

To me, Jones has to really outplay Washington to make the team.
robbieballs2003 : 8/22/2015 10:06 pm : link
When all things are equal you go with the younger player with upside. Plus, people keep saying how Washington needs to contribute on special teams. Well, so would James Jones? What is Jones doing on ST?

Yup. Saw that as well. Nassib got rid of the ball, but Hart was almost in his lap.

I have been impressed by both, I honestly would try to keep both, I just don't think either would last on a practice squad
shame to loose

Darkwa Hunt Unga

Williams and Vereen are locks at RB. Hard to see Jennings going anywhere. It's going to be hard to keep 4 RBs and a FB. 5 seems impossible.
A lot of the early roster predictions
Matt M. : 8/22/2015 10:10 pm : link
have the Giants only keeping 3 HBs. I don't like it. I realy like the way Darkwa has run this summer. But, if they go with a 4th RB, the ST play of Hunt may get him the spot.
You can see the difference between Jones
Matt M. : 8/22/2015 10:12 pm : link
and the younger WRs in terms of route running and separation.
A touchdown sighting!

Nassib made some nice throws
RDJR : 8/22/2015 10:14 pm : link
on that drive.
Is Nassib a good backup
Headhunter : 8/22/2015 10:15 pm : link
or a future starter in waiting?
It really doesn't matter
Essex : 8/22/2015 10:16 pm : link
But the reserves really have looked very good tonight. The second half of this game is the first time I have smiled in the first two games. I don't know if there are any stars out there, but there are some solid guys who can contribute.

Not a future starter here, realistically. Eli is negotiation an extension, so he will be here a while longer. You don't see many guys start for a team after backing up for 6, 7, or 8 years. It is more likely, if he starts at all, that he starts for another team.

sighting.

Nassib has looked good, but it's against a bunch of guys at the bottom of the roster, same as last preseason. His performance is enough to have confidence in him as the #2 QB.
It's garbage time

Eric - Some people this week were saying Jones was not a lock. If that was true, I think he made the team tonight. Davis and Unga took big steps in that direction as well.

our guys that are going to be out of the NFL in a couple of weeks are outplaying the Jag guys that will be out of the league, but it is FUN
If you take the names off the jerseys
#10* : 8/22/2015 10:31 pm : link
and just look at who puts points up on the board via FG range or Tds Nassib the past two years has played better than Eli. And he's done it without OBJ or Cruz to throw to. He plays faster than Eli. He's more accurate and he's more mobile.

If I'm looking at making Eli the highest paid player in the league for the next 5 years or get a pro bowler for him now I'd have to say I might pull the trigger.

First, its preseason which means absolutely nothing for the starters. Its a time to practice and get reps.
Second, Nassib is playing against guys who may not even be in the NFL next week. At best some of these will be backups.

People need to stop making judgements about sure starters after two preseason games.
I can't remember
CMicks3110 : 8/22/2015 10:37 pm : link
Eli ever playing well in the pre-season. I cannot contemplate why anyone would want to trade him.

I know we are thin in the secondary

But, there is nobody else that can be playing instead of Jackson at this point in a preseason game? That better not be serious.
