Is done, he's so gdamn slow even when healthy. Now he's hurt? Who cares? He was a spark during a 7-9 year two years ago and he's a huge injury risk who is slow when healthy. Anyone worried hasn't been paying attention to his career since Carolina threw him at us for a late round pick. His body is just shot.
Carl Banks doesn't agree with your assessment of Beason's speed or lack thereof.
I don't care what Carl Banks thinks. I have seen Beason chasing players and losing ground any time he's in there. If you want to listen to crater face and not think for yourself, be my guest, but I trust my eyes.
Let's see, a former NFL LB or Joey in Va? I'll go with the former NFL LB's assessment ...that and I witnessed Beason running downfield after a WR. As far as his injury history goes, it's well chronicled and everyone is well aware of it ... we'll just have to hold our breath and hope he can somehow stay on the field this season.
Way to think for yourself and drink the kool aid so many here are eagerly lapping up. Your next original thought will be your first, have fun with that.
I love the defense. Players are in position to make plays. The negative plays on defense have come from players just not making a play other than players not knowing their responsibilities. I saw one play on defense with a guy running free and I think it was DRC's mistake. Everybody looked to be in man coverage and he wasn't with Beason trying to cover for him. Otherwise, I like it so far. It is a work in progress but there is a lot of build off of.
What I didnt like is the offense and, to me, this is a direct reflection of the injuries. The OL hasnt played together enough so we are still trying to figure out the right side which is slowing down the continuity of the whole OL playing as one. One top of that, you can see the lack of timing with Eli and the receivers. I was actually very disappointed with basically our starting OL out there with Nassib and they are giving up too much pressure against second team players. The OL played better against Jacksonville's starting D than it did the backups. That is worrisome. We need these guys on the field to get some continuity not just with the OL but with the receivers.
Good job by the OL. Got beat a few times, but that was mostly on obvious passing plays. Flowers looks excellent.
Lots of miscommunications between Eli and Beckham, and other WRs as well. Eli also wasn't particularly accurate.
Don't see the point of Kuhn. Gets easily blocked and ridden out of plays. Got to hope he and Parker are getting a lot of time because the coaches already know what they have with other players at their position.
Jones looked better than Parker or Washington. Got to figure its Beckham, Cruz, Randle, and Harris for the top four WRs. Davis is probably five. That leaves Jones, Parker, and Washington for the last spot.
Nice push by Bromley and Ellis.
Excellent half by Thomas.

Guess it's just my turn to be the target of the cantakerous Joey and his little tantrums Must be exhausting to be such a pathological whiner.
He's a liability every time he's on the field. Not only is he completely stonewalled on passing plays and gets no push, but on running plays, he gets pushed around so easily.
I can't imagine what a team with a competent offense is going to do against this JuCo secondary we have. I'm going to do what I did in the last years of the Fassel era, watch the young guys who show promise and wait for a regime change before I think we have a shot. Reese thinks this team is "close"???? He's as deluded as most of you are. A team that cannot stop the run, run, or defend anywhere is going to stink. We will score at times, this OL will gel and improve but our secondary and LBs are so bad and our pass rush is so meager that we'll be lucky to be in most games against any decent teams.
7-9 at the absolute best. If we win 9 games, I will donate a grand to BBI next year and wear a "headhunter was right" T-shirt. I don't see a football team, not in the least, I don't give a good flying fuck if you've been watching football since the 1850s, I will put what I know up against you or anyone here 10 times out of 10 and we'll see who ends up being right. It sucks, I want this team to be good and challenge for a ring but it's got zero chance this year, absolute zero. Unless a plane carrying the Cowboys and Eagles goes down in flames, we aren't competing for a playoff spot or a division title. This team stinks.
Did Schwartz start tonight? At OT? I know he played some tackle. How did he look there? Did Jerry play RG? How did he look?
I am pretty sure Schwartz didn't start. When he came in he had a good block although he got beat inside. He had his ups and downs. He has to get res because he needs to get his footwork down. He has to bend a little more. He stands up too high. I remember that last year when he injured his toe. He stands up too high and defenders get underneath him. He relies too much on his upper body strength. He is a very strong player so he can get away with that sometimes but hopefully with more practice he will get his legs under him better.

I hope it's a long love affair with the defense, because I have a feelin they are going to need your love around week 3 or 4 when nobody else is showing them any.

Crater Face?! Good grief! Could you possibly have less class?
I know they want Pugh at LG but could our best OL be Flowers, Gettis, Richburg, Schwartz, Pugh?
I doubt they will do it because they want Pugh at LG but also because they like to have a veteran next to a young pup on the OL. Still, I think that combo should be given a shot.
Terrible is a little harsh... He hasn't played that bad
Jenkins look like crap to me.
As of right now my preference would be
Ayers
Ellis/Bromley
Hanky
Odiggy
Randle is ailing
Cruz is coming back
and OBJ is young and will be doubled all year
You need Jones, he is a complete WR, Washington is not.

done for the night, not injured.
Thanks, I was starting to worry.

One bad play
Could be, but he gave up inside leverage. Never a good thing. He has played well tonight though.
Like Mike Sullivan, the guy he had during his 2011 MVP caliber season...the guy that came back this year.
Eli will be fine
OL did well until end when both tackles struggled a little. I think Schwartz looks rusty. Hope Richburg is OK...he wasn't in there a lot at the end.
I'm not worried about Eli and Odell.
Williams looked good.

Good to see him contributing.
He is relentless
And TC rips Eli and OBJ a new one at halftime?

He did not start, came in during the 2nd. Played RG and RT, played well, but so did Newhouse. Not sure about Jerry, but he didn't stink out there.

Have not heard or seen anything on Richburg. Nothing mentioned at halftime either. Maybe they just are managing his snaps?
The DT situation just puzzles me. Ellis and Bromley are clearly superior to Kuhn. Kuhn is on skates out there. Bromley penetrates and Ellis is a wall.
Good, misinformation to lull the Cowboys defense into a false sense of security in week 1.
Taylor Mays so some BBIers can actually pretend he's good
Safety Justin Currie has a fractured ankle.
