Outplayed by Bromley and Ellis and the Giants have enough guys like Unga, Wade, Darkwa and Hunt who are impressing who would be caught in a numbers game to keep an extra DT who has looked like crap
It would mean cutting Herzlich or McLain. It's between, Washington, Jones and Tally for the 6th WR. Hard to see Jones as a surprise among that group. The Giants have almost always kept 4 RBs and Darkwa has played well. He's not a surprise but seeing him cut for Hunt would be. It's the OL where the 8th and 9th OLs are the unknown. However, Hart wouldn't really be a surprise anymore or even Gettis. How about Cleary?
and most of the people saying Jones was in danger of being cut seem to have been quieted. so, my pick would be Hunt, although I don't think he makes it.

He wouldn't be a surprise, he has played well. They don't need to cut Herzlich or McClain to keep him. I expect they will keep 6-7 LBrs, at 7 they can all stay.
i wouldnt be surprised if they start him week 1 in the base with kennard and JT...I think if Beason is out they will go a lot of big Nickel with Collins playing in the box...
Unga has looked fast and filling holes quickly...I think he gets some time with the 1s against the Jets...
but someone other RB would have to go. Williams and Vereen are going to make the team, barring injury. Rashad Jennings? Darkway over Jennings sure would be a surprise.
Not a question of what player, but what position becomes a problem due to injuries. Unga if it's LB, Darkwa or Hunt if it's RB, Brody if it's S, Cleary if it's OL. Hunt over Darkwa if he continues to dazzle in return game. Keeping him & Harris would be an indulgence, but if he can do-the-dance as 3rd down back he's the one.
They aren't keeping 7 LBs. 6 at the most and I think the kept only 5 a couple of years ago. Someone has to go if they keep Unga.
I believe you are correct and only 6 are kept. However, to play devils advocate, if Beason & McClain are still banged up week 1, will they really go into the game with only 4 LB's fully healthy? Will they cut 1 of JB or JM? I'm not sure. If they kept 7 LB's, planning on moving Unga to the PS once the other two return healthy in this scenario, I wouldn't be shocked at this point.
Nothing shocks me, but that would be a surprise to me..Being cut, that is
Same.
QB-2
RB-4
FB-1
TE-3
WR-6
OL-9
DL-9
LB-7
CB-5
S-4
SP-3
Unless my math is off, that is 53

So, Collins is a definite. Im guessing Taylor and Berhe will be on the roster. Who else?
Not all surprises are pleasant.

Lot of "Ifs" there, but I could see it happening.
