I got a 360 last holiday season and haven't played Madden in years. Bought FIFA then, not sure if new FIFA is worth it or just suck it up and buy Madden. I only have FIFA and Halo at this point...
I really like the NHL games, but I didn't buy the last one because I really only play FIFA. I still play 2015 like it just came out (though once you have a kid your spare time seems to just melt away). I spent most of the year playing in career mode...I wanted to take an English fourth division side to the Champions League on legendary difficulty. The farthest I've gotten before being fired is the second division. It is unbelievably difficult.
Add Ultimate Team to that, and the game has more than enough to keep me entertained. It's the only game I own now.
which will keep my from buying a game that i would otherwise really want. I'm done giving up my money for lazy developers to rehash the same garbage. Won't buy CoD anymore, left Madden years ago too.
Would agree that it is similar to last year but I for some reason enjoy playing this one a bit more than last years. What exactly are people looking for in these games that aren't there?
it and it has a few things updated from last year some of the glitch plays are now gone and a few of the mechanics are better. However, some of the fundamental issues are still there with the biggest for me is a AI that cant adapt. Also the most played mode of game Franchise was not touched at all. I think these sites that are giving it good reviews are part of the problem with this franchise.
but am more amped for NHL. Unfortunately, there in no online franchise in NHL on next gen yet. I still look forward to EASHL/club though, and maybe HUT if I'm bored, but club is where it's at.
Seems like they made some real improvements with Passing and Playmaker controls. More realistic O and D for passed balls. I like it so far.
Its a football game, the general premise is always going to be the same, but it seems this is a step in the right direction. Though I am bummed no attention was paid to online franchise which is my favorite mode. Also the mode we have a league in for BBI on the xbox one

Portsmouth would be a good pick, plus Fratton Park is being featured in the game this year.

I'm playing right now with Accrington Stanley and doing ok. I tried several teams looking for the right fit: Tranmere, York City, Plymouth Argyle.
But if Fratton Park is in 2016, I'll definitely go with Portsmouth.

They have a really squad for that division, they should walk the league. Plus they have a lot of history. I like to play them in Football Manager.
I was able to try the Beta for FIFA 16 - better passing control and you won't have jackasses abusing pace on the wings anymore to win.
It is much more realistic - if they stick to the beta. Already reserved my copy for September 22.
Cool. I'm Nutella 78. I'll look for ya next time I'm on.
I like when people rely on pace. That's why I typically have my back for sitting back deep. What drives me nuts is crazy goals from 35 yards out. Those are tough to defend against. But overall I find the game to be fair and tough to exploit.
Pace is important, but I find it more useful in my CDM and CBs. Gotta be able to maintain shape quickly in transition.

because it was horrible and disappointing. Picked up a copy of 2015 and it was slightly less horrible but still disappointing. Got bored within a week. Its pretty much the same game with a new menu. What do they do over there all day besides create rookies and new animations? My guess a whole lot of ping pong.
RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: FIFA is definitely worth buying every year, IMO
It's like crack. Are you going to get it this year? I know you skipped 2015.
Time permitting, yeah. I really need to start another video game thread, maybe tomorrow. I'm trying to be more responsible spending-wise (saving up for my wedding) and my video game backlog is out of control, so I've stopped buying games unless I'm ready to play them immediately after purchase. So basically it depends on whether I hit a point where I don't want to dive into my backlog... oh who am I kidding I'm going to buy it. Maybe not until Christmas but I'm definitely buying it.
when FC Heidenheim was promoted into Bundesliga 2 last year. I took them in FIFA to the Champions League after year 2 and they won the entire Bundesliga that year too. But I was only playing on World Class level.
Those of you who say it's the same...Obviously have your head up your Ass
When someone says its the same they are probably simply expressing the level of disappointment has remained unchanged from 2014 through to 2015. This is a football forum and there is little interest in the only licensed console football game. That speaks for itself.
all you have to do is throw it up and hit Y and he catches the ball...he even caught 2 hail marys...maybe it gets harder as i level up but i thought it was a little insane..
I had fun playing though...wish they would add more story to myplayer like 2k does with their games...NBa 2ks my player is awesome...
Franchise is still the same and it is a little different but again you can add so much to each game mode...
and it seems like a ton of fun. Playing on a touch screen is way superior to playing using whatever the hell they call those controllers that consoles come with.

Did you really just say that playing on a phone/tablet is "superior" to playing on a console?
Sounds like somebody doesn't have a console and is trying to make himself feel better.

Well, actually, I have two consoles, an old Playstation and an old Wii. I'm not fond of playing anything on either of them, now that I think of it.
x2. When are we finally going to match up?
are you a fan of the NHL games?

Shit man I'm still playing on the 360. I'm always up for a game but does anyone play on that anymore?

I played the game. It sucks.

I agree, that was a brilliant concept.
The fundamental problem with Madden has been the AI. Once you figure out the glitches and unstoppable plays it's basically the same game as in 2002.
Or if they were sponsored by Olive Garden

Last Madden I bought was 2 or 3 years ago. Haven't been all that tempted.
Still waiting for a true franchise mode that merges Madden gameplay with NFL Head Coach management.
Did you say Football Manager?
