Where did the Yankees
section125 : 8/25/2015 7:41 pm : link
go? Is this Charleston?
the guy throws lawn-darts
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 7:42 pm : link
and no one can hit him. I recall watching another pitcher trot out there with less impressive stuff and have sustained success.
and flawless in the second
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 7:49 pm : link
Just tuned in
NYerInMA : 8/25/2015 7:50 pm : link
I guess Nova did his best to end the game in the first inning.
Keuchel is Glavine's
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 7:52 pm : link
younger brother. Late bloomer who learned how to bribe the umps into giving him an extra few inches. I want to burn that beard right off his face.
Well
blueblood'11 : 8/25/2015 7:53 pm : link
You can put this one in the loss column. They have no chance against this guy.
To add to that
blueblood'11 : 8/25/2015 7:54 pm : link
As he makes the Yankee hitters look like asses all night long.
Is this the jackass
B in ALB : 8/25/2015 8:02 pm : link
Who bitched and moaned because ARod jogged on the mound a couple years ago? I thought the guys name was Dallas something.

Who names their kid after a city?

"This is my son Albany Jones."

"Oh, well meet my daughter Tallahassee McReynolds."

Fuck that nonsense.

That was Dallas "Shitfaced" Braden
Here we are again
blueblood'11 : 8/25/2015 8:06 pm : link
Another pitcher over matching this lineup. It's pathetic.
our offense has been shitty for a while
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:14 pm : link
but Nova throwing 88-91 is concerning. He clearly can't live at that speed.
Beltran
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:23 pm : link
misses a homer by a foot.

Beltran passes Mantle into 13th on the all time hit list for switchies.
Rasmus with a double
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:28 pm : link
terrible to look so bad to someone who looks so bad.
Bye Nova
B in ALB : 8/25/2015 8:32 pm : link
You were fucking awful tonight.
7-0
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:36 pm : link
Gattis homer.

Brutal outing by Nova. We are really counting on Pineda coming back and staying healthy
We're in 'take one for the team'
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 8:42 pm : link
mode with Rumbelow
this is fucking terrible
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:42 pm : link
8-0 and Rumblelow lobbing it in there.
Get Refsnyder back up here
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 8:43 pm : link
at least he can make up for a booted ground ball with his bat
according to Kenny
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:43 pm : link
the 1927 Yankees used a total of 25 players. No roster moves the entire season.
Ryan poons one
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:44 pm : link
9-0

Capuano getting ready to come back in. Going to ask for stock options soon.
Brendan Ryan
BrianLeonard23 : 8/25/2015 8:45 pm : link
Doesn't do anything positive
9-0
BrianLeonard23 : 8/25/2015 8:48 pm : link
Probably safe to change the channel
Ryan did one thing well
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 8:48 pm : link
and then he shaved it off.
It was so interesting to hear about
B in ALB : 8/25/2015 8:49 pm : link
him shaving the moustache though! Just provocative stuff.

And the facial hair thing is fuckin stupid.

First Time...
looie : 8/25/2015 8:57 pm : link
This team has been blown out in a long time.

The lack of offense this month has become a real concern. This lineup is beginning to show its age and I'm not confident they'll find figure it out once September comes. Hope I'm wrong, but a late-season swoon may be underway here.

Benches clear
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 9:00 pm : link
Gomez being a punk, this is nothing new
We're going to see what happens
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 9:03 pm : link
because the Yanks are well within their rights to throw at Gomez if he comes up to bat again
I would turn back the clock
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 9:04 pm : link
and bring a little Doc Ellis to the game.
I take back the change the channel comment
BrianLeonard23 : 8/25/2015 9:05 pm : link
Could be looking at Gomez/McCann II
Bowden was telling an anecdote today...
Dunedin81 : 8/25/2015 9:24 pm : link
about calling Ryan Zimmerman up to the Nats and Frank Robinson simply refusing to play him, even though he was clearly better than the stopgap holding down the position. I have no fucking idea why Refsnyder or at least Pirela isn't in the Bronx, but I wonder if Girardi simply has an irrational comfort level with Drew and Ryan and Cash doesn't want to call him up to sit.
And Capuano, instead of throwing at Gomez
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 9:30 pm : link
throws a meatball

Yanks throw back at someone? Not gonna hold my breath on that. They have no problem being bullied. Been that way for years. Look at the way they handle everytime Boston throws at them.

Oh and LOLNova. ......
Does Brian Cashman really expect people to believe that he
shockeyisthebest8056 : 8/25/2015 9:44 pm : link
had to trade Bird, Severino, or Warren to upgrade over people like Brendan Ryan, Capuano, PinderRumbelowCotham, etc? He did literally nothing to help the team and now they're running on fumes.
This team has no fucking balls
B in ALB : 8/25/2015 9:44 pm : link
Gomez chirps and acts like an asshole and the Yankees just sit there and take it with a HR.

That shit is embarrassing. They're getting emasculated.
Brendan Ryan pitching
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 9:45 pm : link
we were on the right side of these in July...now we're pitching a position player
Ryan pitches a scoreless 8th
dpinzow : 8/25/2015 9:51 pm : link
more effective than Nova or Capuano
I step away for a meeting
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 10:08 pm : link
and come back to Ryan having pitched two scoreless innings. Losing 15-0 at home is a disgrace.
I don't want to see Capuano pitch
Kyle in NY : 8/25/2015 10:12 pm : link
for this team again. I really don't care if the team is getting blown out and he's the last pitcher left. Fucking loser lets Gomez get the last laugh like that. Embarrassing game. Team has been sleep walking for a month now.

girardi does what he is told, that's why he's the manager. If Cash wanted those guys up and playing, they would be up and playing.
First baseman trying to kill Correa

in a 15-0 game. Just step on first, dipshit.
15-1
RasputinPrime : 8/25/2015 10:14 pm : link
Correa almost blows a hammy. Must be fun to be 20.
I stopped watching early
Stu11 : 8/25/2015 10:20 pm : link
what did Gomez to after his HR? I did catch him acting like a horse's ass when he hit his double in the first. First good game in a month for the guy and he's acting like Babe Fucking Ruth.

I love Joe Torre to death, more than most around here, but this shit goes back to his days as manager. Pedro and the rest of the Sox would use Jeter/Soriano etc...then later on ARod as pin cushions and our staff would do shit to retaliate under Joe's orders.
aaaaaand thanks to the carcass of Beltre

How about the Tulowiski single, he gets jammed and it falls in to tie the game.then the Beltre routine grounder and errant throw. Everything seems to be going their way.
Beltre with a great last AB there

swinging at balls over his head. Next time go up there with a lacrosse stick you idiot.

ah man, thought the Jays

were going to lose tonight.

Well, it's a marathon not a sprint, and that goes both ways.

I actually feel pretty good about beating the 'Stros tomorrow.
