You're totally focused on the camera etc so you come across well. Vanity can kill you after all. The only one with a realistic chance to spot this coward was the cameraman and unfortunately his back was turned to him.

Another reporter on twitter said that, when you're on camera, the camera is the only thing you're focusing on and it's not unusual not to notice things happening in the background.

actually getting shot. I think he dropped the phone right after he started firing so you just hear the gunshots and the screaming. That would've been awful if people were able to see all of that.
The second video he posted showed him shooting the reporter and doesn't stop until he's fired off at least three rounds and she's turned her back and started running away.

I only watched it once, so maybe I missed something, but it's not quite as graphic as I was expecting from some of the descriptions (not here but elsewhere). It's certainly chilling. Especially the way he just lingers before the shot. You don't actually see anyone die though (at least it didn't appear that way to me). Vid goes black when the female reporter starts running and you can hear the shooter running after her and breathing heavily. Then it ends
