you lose a lot of players to injuries, but this year is really taking out some top guys - and not just for a period of time - for the whole year.

but I can't recall an offseason/preseason with so many Achilles injuries.

Agreed. I leave it to others to compare this year to previous seasons in terms of injuries, but it does seem as if the body count for those missing the entire season is higher. I wonder if the training regimen of the players is pushing the human body beyond where it was intended to go, and breaching its natural limits.

Less rest; less healing; more training.

Brady Quinn was on the radio DC and had a theory. The new Nike cleats are not as high of quality as reebok and leading to more injury

We went into camp with 90 players.
