...Hindsight is 20/20. I think when it was time for me to leave and go to Atlanta, I was excited about it. But once I got there, I was like, ‘damn.’ You know? You miss everything, man. There’s nothing like being a New York Giant. And I wish some of the players here would truly understand that, because it’s easy to think one thing, but once you get the chance to go someplace else and experience something, you truly realize what family is. And New York is home for me. ... So there was no doubt about when it was time for me to retire, I was going to come here.”
right after the 2007 Superbowl. The camera is on him and he says something like "I don't even know what just happened". As if he was in a daze from it all
the six sack against the Eagles at the Meadowlands. Took my two young daughters to their first game that night, and they couldn't believe what they were witnessing. Osi was obviously unstoppable that night. Maybe it was easy for us on BBI to point out the weaknesses in his overall game, since he played next to Strahan, and we certainly did that, but his strengths and especially his big plays during two Super Bowl runs far outweigh anything negative you could say about him. And his parting words today were nothing but class. God bless him. Thanks for a great career, and two of the most improbable, unforgettable championships in NFL history.
Could dominate lesser players, ask Winston Justice
Could outplay a legend, ask Walter Jones
Could play great in the biggest games of his life, ask Matt Light
come contract time....but no one could strip a qb, causing a fumble like he could.....
They really missed him in 2008.....
It wasn't just the fumbles and sacks, it was the pressure he put on qb's, that forced them into mistakes....Ask Aaron Rodgers....
missed him in 08? i think we did quite well withtout him if im not mistaken
Many think the DL was gassed at the end of the year and that hurt the team just as much as the loss of Plax. Maybe Osi's presence leads to shorter drives against the Eagles that day - I recall them having obnoxiously long drives.
I remember when Osi was drafted in 2003 he wasn't ranked highly by my Mel Kiper and Sporting News draft guides, so I was annoyed with the pick when better 'values' were there (despite not watching any of them).
After his 2005 season, I stopped questioning draft picks by the Giants.
graat speed around the edge. He was such a big part of who they were and how dangerous that DL was during the Championship runs. Thank you Osi, you supplied us so with many thrills.
Thank you for more great moments than can be listed here!
Great Giant

They couldn't agree on the terms of the one day contract.
Seriously, OSI- Thanks for all the great moments.
