I realize at this point that CoD has lost the interest of many at this point. It's been going downhill since the first MW. However, since MW1, I found that BO2 was the best game. I've been playing it on and off for 3 years. My roommate gets the game evey year and all the ones since BO2 have been utter shit, so I didn't have many expectations for this beta.
That said, this beta has the best mechanics and graphics of any CoD to date. Only played 4-5 matches but those are my impressions thus far. Not a big fan of the jet pack, but it's significantly improved from AW. You can't jet pack across an entire map in 5 seconds and complete fuck up the spawns, nor can you abuse the hell out of it to get away from trouble. Don't like the specialist abilities much either, I think they ripped blatantly off of Destiny, but I can certainly live with it.
Anyone else play it?

Yeah Ghost is by far the worst in the series (although I admittedly haven't played the 1st BO so not sure how good/bad that one was). I'd say this is significantly better than AW. You can just tell its a Treyarch game by playing 1 match. The maps so far are alright. There is one that I like particularly, don't remember the name, but it's the one with the waterfall. Don't care much for the other maps. I hope they have better ones in store for the release.
I never enjoyed HALO much and I tried to get in to Destiny but I just couldn't.
I do play a little Battlefield but I prefer the smaller maps.
I am looking forward to Battlefront.
I really enjoyed Black Ops and BO2. Very fast moving games which are more my pace. Can't stand plodding shooters where running feels like you actually stuck in mud.
Also it looks like they are rolling with 100% Ranked Dedicated Servers. That peer to peer garbage needs to die. I get that Xbox and Playstation casual gamers don't know the difference but those who understand it know how much nicer it really is.

It seems there is a possibility the next CoD title( it will be an Infinity Ward game)will be set in WW2.
As for Halo, the future their turns me off so I've never got into killing aliens, but their multiplayer is great.

Halo 3, MW1, and BO2 are competing for the #1 online FPS in my book. BD2 is close behind. I don't anything will replicate how fun Halo 3 and MW1 was when they first came out. Don't know if it was me being easy to please as a middle schooler or nothing has come close to how revolutionary those games were when they came out. I think Halo 3 has the slight edge IMO.
