Not-breaking news: Nobody likes Bob3

I really hoped Griffin would say that he made key mistakes in the pocket that made the O-line look worse than it played. Oh well.

Jason Reid & #8207;@JReidESPN 1h1 hour ago

Really curious to get @thecooleyzone take on Griffin's sidestep in his presser. This is why coaches have told me several O-linemen don't like him. Winning off the field.

Jason Reid & #8207;@JReidESPN 1h1 hour ago

Redskins Park is like a reverse car wash: Go in clean and come out dirty. A former Redskins coach told me that.

Jason Reid & #8207;@JReidESPN 40m40 minutes ago

I have been told that by several Redskins coaches over the years. This is not new. Merely pointed it out to provide context.

As long as Snyder lives that team will be the most poisoned in sports
Go Terps : 8/27/2015 3:48 pm : link
Everything there is done stupidly and it all points to Snyder.

Absolute disaster of a franchise. Any time you ever feel down on the Giants current situations, all you need to say is "hey, at least we're not the Redskins... "
As I said before,
Doomster : 8/27/2015 4:10 pm : link
if RGIII, is not cut, makes the team, and is injured during the year, the Skins are on the hook for 16M next season....
I would say poor kid
Bleedin Blue : 8/27/2015 4:14 pm : link
But he's far from poor, but this kid has gotten poor advice. His coach hung him out to dry and pretty much ruined him physically, and you'd think he'd have an advisor helping him mature as a leader.

Griffin, Orakpo, Tuck, Michael Phelps, even Jared. Careers or either over or struggling.

Trout better be careful

Most reports indicate that he doesn't take advice/coaching well, thinks he's bigger and better than everyone else, and his ego gets in the way of his game.
They are killing him on DC sports talk for his interview

"I just work here... man"

Not the quote of a team leader. LOL.
Saturday is RG3s Superbowl.

The Ravens will kill him. I know it's just preseason, but they got waxed by the Eagles, are coming home, and have a chance to beat their geographic rival to the South. It's also the third preseason game, when the starters play the most.

And that is the problem right there. He KNOWS he has the owner up his ass and can do what he wants when he wants. He has no accountability, he's literally untouchable because he knows Danny has his back. Players HATE that and hate him for using it.
That's a good recipe
pganut : 8/27/2015 7:57 pm : link
For his O-line to accidentally on purpose miss a few blocks.

Joey. You should know by now that I know that. My post is supposed to be humorous. Thanks for ruining it.

Jk, mf.
Danny likes him, sure...
Dunedin81 : 8/27/2015 8:41 pm : link
but the real issue is that there isn't a viable alternative. Either they make something out of RGIII, who even hobbled has more physical talent than anyone else, or they lose enough games trying that they can draft someone else this year.

RGIII may be an ass, but in 2012 he was one of the best rookies I had ever seen. Shanahan and the soul-crushing abyss that is the Washington Redskins franchise ground that into a self-absorbed tool whose athleticism and confidence are no longer enough to win but who never absorbed enough to be a pocket passer at the pro level.

I'm with you. His first season I was thinking he was going to haunt the Giants for years - ala Randall Cunningham.

Thank God for the Redskins shit show. Long live King Danny!
Have to love these comments:

Many viewers believe in fact this is actually happening.
his first season
chris r : 8/28/2015 2:15 am : link
he was running a system the NFL hadn't seen in years and had guys running wide open and huge running lanes. That was always going to be his best year.
but he was a big reason
santacruzom : 8/28/2015 2:25 am : link
why guys were running wide open. His play action was absolutely terrifying -- I remember vividly thinking, "Shit, this guy is going to make our inevitably and perpetually mediocre linebackers look like dipshits for the next decade."

Revisionist history is cool and all, but let's not pretend he's the same player now that he was then, and that what he was then was merely some average rookie QB.
Its not revisionist history
chris r : 8/28/2015 2:43 am : link
I was saying it at the time. Everyone who has watched football for some time knows that what he was doing was way too easy and defenses were going to catch up and make it more difficult for him. On passing plays was making one read and if that wasn't open, which it usually was, he took off. On running plays he was gashing teams not ready for the read option.

Just look at CK for an example of how RGIII would have fared in subsequent years once NFL defenses figured out the read option. And CK is a more talented pure QB.
Sure
santacruzom : 8/28/2015 3:02 am : link
And there were probably people saying someone like, say, Hakeem Nicks would not be able to sustain his early success too. Now they're right and prophetic?
Shanahan destroyed his career.
SanFranNowNCGiantsFan : 8/28/2015 6:29 am : link
His decision to keep RG3 in that Seattle game was beyond dumb. He hasn't been the same health wise since.

& RG3 doesn't make things better for himself with his personality. As QB, you gotta take responsibility. Could you imagine Eli throwing the OL under the bus?
Bob is bad..
Chef : 8/28/2015 9:24 am : link
and was a gimmick his first year.. never earned his reputation or his moniker... he is just not good.. I don't care about his injury either.. he is not a Quarterback.. he is a track and field runner..
Deadspin chimes...

I'm thoroughly unimpressed with Gruden as a HC
MetsAreBack : 8/28/2015 11:20 am : link

as much as anyone else in this saga.

Clearly its best for everyone that RG3 move on - should have happened last offseason. But Gruden was brought in to develop their young QBs and instead he is more well-known for throwing RG3 under post-game buses (how many other HC's behave like that?) and destroying Kirk Cousins' confidence too.
