#Giants S Nat Berhe to undergo surgery on injured calf on Friday, per sources. Status for 2015 undecided, IR likely
You guys need to shut the fuck up and wait for the information to come out before you post ridiculous asinine statements.
Dude has a blood clot in his leg. What the fuck do u want strength and conditioning staff to do about that? Jab a crazy straw in his leg and suck it out?
Collins, Merriweather, Miles and Taylor.
Hoping maybe a good safety gets cut somewhere....very possible.
Here's the optimism.
Reese gambled on Taylor, a GT freshman All American, who dropped in the draft because of a heart condition that forced him to take time off and subsequently switch schools (Richmond where he earned All American honors). The heart condition now is fine (but the toe, hamstring weren't). I'm hoping the gamble will pay off and at 6'4", 228 we have NY's answer to Cam Chancellor and a nice combo for Collins.
people here would understand that compartment syndrome is not a minor thing and that blood clots are potentially life-threatening before going on rants blaming team trainers and doctors.
It is likely that Nicks damaged over half of the nerves and veins in his leg with his injury and will need to have compression therapy for the rest of his life. I know patients that don't enter that stage until they are 70!
If Berhe had a blood clot, and if it was a complication from compartment syndrome ,the combination of that is brutal. It isn't like he tweaked a calf muscle and just sits out the year for the fuck of it.
Nat berhe needs to just suck it up with a blood clot and play until he strokes out and that the medical staff is responsible for David Wilson's neck injury.

They probably had no reason to assume a blood clot was occurring until he reported continued issues with the calf. The clot could also have happened while the calf was healing.
"Technically, yes. However most blood clots in the leg (aka DVT -- deep vein thrombosis) are diagnosed with ultrasound (read more here: http://blog.remakehealth.com/blog_Health...
The ultrasound test is less expensive and would take time than an MRI. Also, ultrasound tests are quite accurate and not only see clots but can tell if the clot completely blocks the vein or only partially blocks it. "
Also, this is kind of a cautionary story on how you don't
Our injuries our just simply freaking "Out of this World" unbelievable.
We have to hope Collins, Taylor and ??? and ??? and ??? and ??? all stay healthy the rest of the way. Cooper Taylor starts now, in my mind, and I do believe he'll be OK if he can actually play healthy!
How many minutes of playing time has he been available for so far since his arrival? Seems like this guy is always injured.
He missed one game (with a concussion sustained in his first game) is entire collegiate career.
And according to NFL.com he played 16 games (in special teams and spot duty admittedly) last year
Just crap luck with a persistent calf, really, but there was little previous history of injury and if you're making it through a 4 year college career only missing 1 game, you've toughed it out at least a couple of times.
RE: RE: RE: Cooper Taylor would have been the guy you EXPECT
Nat berhe needs to just suck it up with a blood clot and play until he strokes out and that the medical staff is responsible for David Wilson's neck injury.

I know what you mean. It's a burden one carries when your smarter then everyone else.
u gotta wonder what's up with cooper taylor. tom was raving about him last year (changed his body) and he looked like a man on a mission in preseason.
wonder if he just subconsciously said "f#ck it" and is now just playing out the string because thru the 1st 2 games he doesn't look like the same guy.haven't heard a peep from any of the coaches
medical knowledge, but I've played sports all my life and have literally never had a calf injury/had problems with my calf. I have to think it's like...the least injured part of the body. How does this happen??
My wife and I have suffered from blot clots and they are no joke. I developed phlebitis in my calf from a hematoma suffered by a HBP in a baseball game behind the knee. It creeps up on you and bam - you cant use your knee. My wife ont the other hand developed a clot in her calf that travelled to her lungs due to a medication switch and it is so dangerous that she needed major surgery on her right shoulder in March and was just cleared for September due to blood thinner treatment that took 6 months to be safe. She still needs a CT scan on her lungs to be officially cleared. It all started with her from just pain in her calf, no swelling. Basic curiousity just saved her from disaster. I'm sure others on this board have had same experiences.
1986 Superbowl win
fast forward four years to 1990 Superbowl win
Followed by the debacle that was the Dave Brown, Kent Graham, Danny Kanell 1990s.
2007 Superbowl win
fast forward four years to the 2011 Superbowl win

Look I'm not even a little stitious, but I don't even like thinking the team could be headed to another lost decade like the 1990s. All kidding aside, as long as Eli and OBJ are here, it will never be anything like the 1990s.

You never signed a contract to play for the NY Giants. That's how it happens...

Until Taylor goes on IR
He was never going to be well.

That's not on strength and conditioning. That's shit luck
Someone will find a way to blame the team,
What kind of diet are they feeding these guys that a twenty-five year old gets a blood clot? Total incompetence
Time to say thanks and good try and give the kid his injury settlement and walking papers.

Blood clots are serious, and if not treated, potentially fatal.
I think some people just feel better saying this is so and so's fault as opposed to allowing that sometimes things just happen.
Closure maybe? It's an interesting response to the problems of the world.

He's the one with a bad health history.

Cooper Taylor had done 0 for this team...

Nat played well on the coverage teams last year.

Good luck with that 1.
Assignment wise was not the problem.
They worked him out hard to see how close to game shape he was in.
Don't be surprised if you see his name called soon.
Don't be surprised if you don't.
just a snippet in the off season.
