Think 2k got hit in the mouth a little this year and didn't expect it.
Due to lack of competition in sports games re: licensing you don't really see the advancements that are made with other genres. Those other genres are competing with tons of other games and they have to be better. Sports there's no real incentive since there's no real competition.
Ship an awesome football game with 32 teams and no NFL logos or player names but allow "player uploaded" logo and name packs. If said company doesn't do it back door, it won't take long for someone to fill in the blanks and upload it. EA gets it right up the poop shoot.
As it appears in that screen shot? If so, a welcome change that I've been calling for for a very long time now. It's been about 20 years with the orange and I still never fully warmed to it
Last season they had blue paint was the run to the finals in 94. Come to think of it, the last game played at MSG with blue paint was game 5 of the 94 finals, the game that was cut into by OJ Simpson's car chase
