I mean this team is talented and confident enough to compete with anyone, bar none. The lineup is deep and dangerous. The rotation is as good as any. The BP is a little weak but has a lights out closer. What an amazing August.

Yes a little weird, the bottom line is to build a collapse proof lead. And get in the playoffs as a division winner, not as the wild card.
Once in the playoffs this rotation will have a chance to shine and hopefully some timely hitting and the team could do damage.
If this was football I could see the concern maybe, especially with the Giants propensity for losing streaks, I wouldn't worry about it in baseball.
Yeah, i don't know what Flores or Tejada were doing. I'd have to believe that the coaches would tell them to take pitches, right? Maybe not?
now it's time to TCOB
let's go boys..
All part of the plan...
Fat lady isn't singing yet but damn if she's not warming up.
Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut. Now he can bet all he wants.
that 7th inning would have been his. he let this team down. Mejia, Clippard, Familia would have been a trio I'd be comfortable with.
even without being post-season eligible, they could have used Mejia to get there.
And then the Parnell meltdown didn't help.
Between Parnell, Mejia, and even Edgin, the Mets lost some potentially good back of the bullpen arms.
otherwise I think they might have to give Matz some regular season relief appearances if they plan to use him out of the pen in the playoffs.

Exactly. Now it has to be Robles-Clippard-Familia. Robles has earned this 7th inning job.
he needs glasses though

Haha. Same thought.

and Swihart can move for a catcher, but that was ugly
But it was a HR anyway, so it's all moot.
