Good innings eater and decent long man, but I'd get nervous if he ever had to pitch in a big game. Seems like a good guy just hard to get by without stuff.
Thanks for this season and I hope you enjoyed the crabs, but his lack of hustle is a huge red flag for me. I just don't like it.
Me too. That was shocking. I speculate that he was pouting about being moved to left from center. It looked like he was making a statement like "Fine, you move me to left. I'll only move when the ball is hit to left.
He just ruined a lot of "feel good." Now I know why he has been moved so much. You're an every day player on a first place team and you do that? Keeps his hands on his fucking knees during a play?
I just hate losing to the lovable, media darling Red Sox.
We should have had this game when the bases were loaded. We were set up beautifully and Clippard and Familia were nasty tonight. That was the game right there.
and after it went off the wall assumed he was way too far away at that point. Obviously it looked really bad but I need to see more than one example of this before before I crucify the guy.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. We let them off the hook all game. Would have liked to have this game with the nats loss. Oh well.

Z. I know you always look for the positive, but even you have to admit that's stretching. Inexcusable play, or lack of play, by Cespedes.

Im not saying it didn't look bad or it may have not even been bad, but like I said, I need to see more before I make a decision about whether he's lazy or whatever. He's been here a month and thats the first Ive ever seen anything and the ball was gone anyway. The whole thing was moot.

Lol, really? Cespedes has had a lot headscratchers in his short time here. I've seen plenty of examples to feel concerned.
Doesn't matter anyway. Cespedes screams of a guy that will play for the one team that pays a penny more than the next guy...even if he has to play on the moon. He doesn't give a shit about the mets.
didn't jog after the ball either because he "assumed" it was gone. Nobody's blasting him and it allowed a go ahead HR if that wasn't over the line. Whatever. Im not defending Cespedes on that play. I just hadn't really noticed anything that egregious until now.

Lagares jogged after it sort of gingerly, my first thought was that Lagares was injured, not that he thought it was gone, but it was gone and he had the best view of it, so maybe that is his excuse.
He was a country mile away from the ball at that point. He should have been running toward center as soon as the ball was hit, but the way he reacted made it appear to me that he thought it was gone (which it was) Ive seen many OF stand still when HR get blasted over their heads. Not a fan of it, but it happens pretty regularly.

Lol, defending Cespedes is EXACTLY what you are doing. And Lagares was staring at the ball when it hit above the line. It wasn't that close. And the next time Cespedes runs out a ground ball will be his first. I've also seen him strike out on a third pitch that got away from the catcher, stare at the ball as it rolls away and slowly walk back to the dugout instead of running to first. This dude does not give a shit. Ton of talent though.

Fuck him. As much as he has done. Fuck him.
can't lose both Harvey and deGrom starts. that would allow a potential losing streak.

You can't be serious.
