It's a long shot. But on ESPN First Take this morning, Stephen A. Smith suggested that it could happen. According to him, Carmelo has already started trying to recruit KD to come to New York City next summer when he becomes a free agent—and KD is reportedly considering it. Stephen A. also said that there are some NBA insiders who believe that, if the Lakers decide to part ways with Kobe after his current contract is up next summer, Kobe would also consider coming to NYC, especially if KD does.

KD gets the max (obviously) and Kobe gets whatever is left?
Maybe he can explain how Melo, Zinger and Durant fit together
Gonna be tough.
But as far as FA - iirc there was an SI cover b4 MJ came back with him in a 'blank' jersey. It suggested that NYK & LAL were possible if not CHI. That's when I realized it's all BS rumor when it comes to NYK FA talk. Anything can happen esp these days, but it's still mostly media talking out of their ass for ratings
That team would be sick. Wall, Beal, Durant, Nene...then a real good set of role players in Gortat, Anderson, Blair, Neal, Dudley, even Gooden in spot duty. Also a real good defensive team. Not the definitive East #1 but a legit favorite

It's back home to DC.

He's from the area, I think it's OKC or DC.
