am a Dodgers fan, but even if you're not, he is an absolute icon.
I seem to be the one guy who doesn't much care for Scully's work.

He is the voice of baseball.

I wonder if in 30-40 years if there are any current announcers people will look back on as fondly as guys like Scully, Gowdy, Mel Allen.

Met Vince Scully in a hotel lobby years ago

He sat down with me and had a conversation . One the the nicest people you could ever meet. About 36 years ago and I remember thinking then that he will probably retire soon. He just keeps going.
