cannot let the Nationals get closer because they're still talented enough to rip off a 15-5 or 16-4 run if their pitching gets hit. If I'm Terry I jigger the rotation to ensure that Harvey and deGrom pitch down in DC

they could rip off a 15-5 or 16-4 stretch. The Mets play the Phillies at Citi Field next while the Nationals go to St Louis, so there is an opportunity to slam the door on the Nats the next few days

They still have a rotation that could pull that off...Scherzer, Strasburg, Gio and Zimmermann are all excellent pitchers when going well. They also get to play Atlanta, Philly and Miami a lot in September too. It's not over yet. Win tomorrow and get healthy on the Phils while the Nats have to face the Cards

back and stay healthy. TDA and Cespedes are likely out of the lineup tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if we get swept against this young good hitting Red Sox team. Who knows about Wright's shoulder now and when Duda starts swinging a bat. I so badly just want us to get as close to 100% as we can because the Nats aren't as talented as we are if we do.

Like this Addison Reed move. Shores up the bullpen even further. Tomorrow's a big game.

Trading Rzepczynski would save #Padres less than $500K. Sometimes teams prefer to play it out rather than take back a meager return.
