where a fan fell over the upper deck into the lower deck. Game is continuing but the accident occurred right in front of the FOX announcers (as they mentioned on the broadcast)
was quickly rushed to the hospital by the paramedics. Supposedly it was a fan booing ARod who forgot where he or she was
Back to the game...Yankees cannot add to the lead and Justin Wilson comes in to replace Severino. Wilson immediately gives up a laser beam for a single
Mike Estabrook having a rough one the last couple of half-innings. Missed two clear strikes when Betances was pitching and punches out Headley on a pitch above his letters

Even the Beltran at bat - called a low and away a strike that should have been ball 4 then called a ball on a pitch belt high on the corner. Totaly inconsistent.
combined between the minors and Yanks. I know they said he has no innings limit but he only threw 113 innings last year. I'd guess his limit is somewhere around 150-160 if they want to impose a limit but they're fighting for a division title and really need his starts
As a reference, Syndergaard on the other side of town
is nearing an innings limit and it shows in his performances. Severino just looks better and better even though he is in uncharted territory innings-wise

It was stated again tonight - no limit on pitches or innings.

He's got 6 more regular season starts, so assuming he averages 6 innings per start, that adds up to 36 more innings, which means he'll throw 164 for the season. It would be awesome to get away with it because they wouldn't need any innings cap on him next year either
Oh crap, someone might have died falling over the upper deck as ARod was being introduced

The NL is such a trash league.
Quote:
by Girardi knowing they were going to walk ARod and taking Severino out as a result.
The NL is such a trash league.
It's so much more difficult to manage in. The NL managers might as well be brain surgeons

The NL is such a trash league.
But Girardi should have left Severino in to bunt because Severino was pitching lights out
Now the one guy who can actually hit Betances is up (Freeman)

absolutely - I think 3 were strikes....

JUST IN: Police say fan is in "grave" condition after falling from upper deck at Turner Field during @Braves game. @wsbtv news crew en route
Nobody deserves life-threatening injuries as karma for heckling.
Yeah, yelling at an opposing player means you deserve to potentially die.
What a ridiculous comment.
Miller looked back to top form again and the Yanks win a big one
The Jays have the best run differential in MLB by a big margin and did even before the trade deadline.
If anything, this ridiculous stretch they've been on may actually be the "correction."

It's not karma and , he certainly didn't deserve to die but, the guy was still a moron.
