The OL is still suspect, especially on the right side. It looks like teams can regularly shut down our run and get pressure with just four or five players, so they can drop six or seven into coverage.
No downfield threat except for Beckham.
Who has emerged at TE? Nobody.
We get gashed on the run, and still don't maintain the edge. Losing the edge, and crashing inside instead of playing their assignments is common.
Bad safety play.
No depth.
Tons of injuries.
Some bright spots: OO, Flowers, Nassib, Brown, and Taylor.
Romo+dez+their OL vs giants pass rush and secondary. Seen strange things happen that it never adds up going in...but this one has a high % of coming about. Ugh
Cooper Taylor is back sooner than I thought and he looked good. Picked up where he left off before he got hurt a year ago.
Collins is also back much sooner than I expected. He seems to be thinking about his assignment too much which is slowing his reaction time. What I saw from him in college was his instincts were taking him to the ball quickly. I think he will get there over time.
Nassib played well again. Looking like a solid backup so far. Would love to have seen him play with the first team to truly judge.
Flowers is looking like a solid pick. Not concerned about LT anymore.
The starting RBs looked good and yet nobody really focused on that tonight.
I thought a real strength this year would be a solid DT rotation....so far, not the case.
Kennard is going to be the best player on this defense.
I'm still optimistic....I don't know why.
Teams are going to attack the middle of the field against this D....with weakness at safety and Beason hurt...look for Dallas to throw to tight ends, slants over the middle to Bryant, Beasley.
In ALL phases. This looks like the worst Giant team in a long time and we haven't exactly been world beaters the last few years. Love to be surprised but if not, I would like to see a total rebuilding job from top to bottom.
with the exception of Flowers, both sides of the line get overpowered, rather easily...our medical staff...Flaherty...I don't know...something just ain't right...

When Schwartz was finally in at RG, the Giants had their best drive of the preseason. Need to figure out what to do at RT. Newhouse is a mess. Need to scour the wire for a LG or RT.
eli manning is a slightly above bad QB...you telling me we would win the same or less games with Rivers or big ben?
get your body armour ready, you are about to be attacked.
The next time people complain about Graziano, Stapleton, Ralph, etc. mocking fans on Twitter, remember these are the people they have to deal with constantly.

Pugh has look better at tackle than he has at guard. Did the coaching staff ever consider moving Pugh back to RT when Beatty got hurt or even letting Flowers go at RT and letting Pugh play the position that he played in college at LT.
I thought he was going to start doing that on 3rd downs? Somehow, someway, Spags needs to generate a pass rush or our secondary will be toast. Additionally, we have to stop the run. Lost containment too many times on the edges, gave up yards up the gut too?! Did anyone see how Hank played tonight? Really did not see anything exceptional, but wasn't really focused on him. Kuhn was blocked time and time again. I still do not see what the coaches see.
1. Flowers is a stud. Still has to work on moving laterally on traps. But he will be decent this year and a top LT down the road.
2. OL overall looked decent. Eli had a reasonable amount of time. Giants kept running the ball on first down because that's what they are working on improving. In the real games, you will see more mixture and defenses won't be able to key on the run as they were tonight.
3. I could have completed that TD to OBJ. That was an horrendous throw by Eli. But 90% of the time that is a TD and suddenly the score doesn't look so bad. Jets were stacking the box and the Giants went to make them pay and Eli just missed it. Preseason for him, too. Nothing to be concerned about.
4. Kennard is a player. A real LB who likes to hit. Giants have not had one since Barrow.
5. Two guys we worried about all offseason--Schwartz and Taylor--are both playing and rounding into shape. To be honest, I expected nothing from either of them.
6. Vereen is going to make this offense much more dynamic. As the season progresses, I think we will see less and less of Hyno and more of a spread offense.
7. The defense will struggle to start the season but I think eventually you will see the young DL start to assert themselves. I have no doubt that they can have a hellacious pass rush down the line. The key will be stopping the run. That's why getting the LBers healthy is important.
Overall, the team has ben bad in preseason games but there have been a lot of positive individual performances from key players and that's what you should look for in preseason, especially when you are rebuilding and have a brand new DC and a second year OC.
This has to be the only team that players routinely get injured
in warmups...it looked more like an Achilles than an ankle because he just seemed to fall..not as if he missteped where you would think it was an ankle.
I did not see the game tonight, but from what I am reading, there seems to be more issues with how we are controlling the line of scrimmage, and that's a huge concern.
Two plays were the difference in the game.....pick six and a punt return. Perhaps we give the special teams some slack as there are guys playing there that won't be around come opening day.
Good to see OBJ getting free and making some catches, Eli will hit him come regular season.
The offense started in a similar fashion last year, and got going as the season progressed.
The defense? Well... As Spagnolo said, he's not a miracle worker.

I just hate that we're opening on national TV against Dallas. That will be ugly.
obviously depends on team but ill say
Eli/Beckham/Cruz/Flowers/Hankins/Kennard?/DRC-Prince/
2. The defense cannot stop the run.
3. When Eli throws an interception, it's more than likely to turn into a pick 6.

oline seems to be hanging in there.
Eli pick not a big deal.

Tom Coughlin on Robert Ayers: "He's out there in pregame, then all of a sudden he's on the ground complaining about his ankle and Achilles."

other then that, how was the play mrs.lincoln?
get your body armour ready, you are about to be attacked.
Outside of beckham there are not a lot of guys who play beyond the X's and O's

Robert Ayers Jr. declined to comment as he left the locker room.

Donnelly looked good at RT.
this team looks like 1978 all over again

No updates on Robert Ayers or Bobby Hart. Ayers did not want to comment after the game, but he did not appear limited by injury in any way.
