Until the next round of controversy with JPP begins...he says he is ready, the Giants say no, and NFI him....
There seems to be some confusion on this board.....many think the Giants and him can come to a meeting of the minds, and guarantee him lesser money if he shows up for meetings right away, with the stipulation they won't NFI him......I don't think that can happen....
All negotiations for this year ended, on that July cut off date.....there are no more negotiations with the Giants....
However, they can remove the tag, he becomes a free agent, and then they can make a deal.....but then JPP could negotiate with any other team in the league, and that team does not have to come up with two #1's, anymore, and could offer more and take a chance on him....

I'm going to take a guess and say there isn't a big market for a guy with 9 fingers and has been so secretive he won't let a team doctor take a look at him.
after watching what we had at DL last night, that tender is going to be on the table and the team isn't going to say boo when JPP shows up with his doctor's certificate that he can play.
RE: JPP's a complete and utter joke at this point.

JPPs hand and run their tests, we'll find out.
I have no idea how that will go, but with a missing index finger, AND, a very likely weakened thumb, logic says his ability to grasp, push, slap and whatever with the right hand has to be at least 40% diminished.
If they still think he's an NFL player, so be it.
Given everything that has transpired, and if we are going to suck, 14.8M more in cap in '16 and a high pick, will go a long way towards the turnaround.

he is not going to come back until he thinks he can play. Not sure what happens if he sits out 2015, is he UFA next year ? But who is going to sign him for big money after the injury with no evidence he can play. He is likely on a one year prove it deal with some other team in 2016.
