They may want to take a look at gloves, but these gloves have been a key part of a lot of the great offensive plays the league loves. One-handed catches, perfect spirals in inclement weather...
It's not going to be so easy to take a step backward.
NFL pr wants ODB level plays replacing concussion giving def hits on hi-lite reels. Secret committee-secret report-report buried where ever Goodell's common sense resides.
There seems to be a lot of dropped balls for such incredible gloves
I heard a few non-Giant fans talking about gloves being the reason he was able to make that catch.
The fact is, every receiver in the NFL is wearing the same gloves, and I don't see anyone else making that catch...
Sure, if we ever reach a point where those types of catches become common, we can talk about modifying the gloves. But as long as we're in a league where only a select few of the elite receivers are capable of this, they should leave it alone.
This would swing the league back to a running league
Of course the league is taking notice. It's not like he's the only one who wears gloves. Every position is practically wearing gloves in today's games. It's a level playing feild!
So the NFL is like "Let's look at the gloves" .....why? because of the spectacular highlights that are transcending the sport? "The catch" damn near broke the Internet like kardashian's ass pic!

That said, why does the NFL always have to find something to bitch about and investigate? God forbid the sport is actually about the game.
