years old..Not sure too many, if any, would give him a look
Maybe not before week 1 (vets contracts are guaranteed for the year if on week 1 roster IIRC), but first team with a couple RB injuries should be on the phone with him. He can still be a solid contributor.
maybe not at the highest level, but he knows WTF he is going. He will protect the QB and provide some veteran leadership. So, don't think of him as the starting RB somewhere. In fact, if we did not have Vereen I would want to go after him for our 3rd down back. He can probably handle that kind of workload.
Really surprised by this. FJax looks like he still has a solid year left in the tank and if I'm Buffalo, I'd want insurance for McCoy. Spiller is gone and now all that's left is unproven talent.
I really like FJax as a player and would hate to have to root against him.
This says Cowboys have no interest in FJax. Of course, that probably means he's signing with them later today, based on Jerry Jones' penchant for bullshit (i.e. "The Cowboys are not in the market for (WR) Roy Williams." Traded for him days later.). No FJax to Cowboys? - ( New Window )
The Bills are loaded at RB like they are at most positions. McCoy's primary backups are the slightly nicked-up Boobie Dixon and promising rookie Karlos Williams. And they still have ex-Iggle Bryce Brown and two other guy even after cutting Freddie Jackson and another one of the no-name guys that they recently signed.
They also have two quality FBs with ex-GIANT and Jet John Conner as the number two guy and a likely final cut.
They are loaded almost everywhere, illustrating that a team can still have great depth even in this day and age.
and said he was one of the most down to earth, nicest athletes he's ever met. he was a beast for a number of years. hope he catches on with the patriots and proceeds to torment rexy and the bills.
With bell out, they are only 1 deangelo williams injury away from playing Dre Archer who falls over if he sneezes and can't block. My money is on Pittsburgh to sign him asap
He had a good stat line the other day, but if you watched that long run of his the hole was gigantic and he looked sloooow trying to showcase some long speed there. Looked like a full back. I'm a bit saddened by the fact that he is the last RB in the NFL who was older than me. If he doesn't land in another situation, I will be older than every RB I ever watch for the rest of my life

Deal with it! Wait until you're older than most if not all of the coaches..:)
I think we see a couple of more surprises, usually teams will cut veterans early so they have achance to catch on with another team...

I could see the Pats picking him up.
Cierre Wood, I think?
I just don't see it..As a last resort, for a few weeks if necessary? Why not..Otherwise, no..Imo
;-)
I wonder what's going on.
He could go to someone like Houston if he starts, but he probably makes too much for a backup role.
I'm surprised though. He finally looked injury free.

I really hope he doesn't go to Dallas.

Nice find by the Bills.

He just came back from a hammy injury, didn't he?
