Cruz, Beckham, Randle, Jones, Davis, Harris. No room for #7, especially given the needs at other positions, unless maybe we go with 2 TEs. I'd be OK keeping Talley if we trade Jones back to the Packers, but I think Coughlin likes his veteran leadership.
you let Jones go. Everyone is impressed because Jones, 31 years old and an 8 year vet, was catching passes against 3rd and 4th stringers. You saw what he could do against a starter when Cromartie was last seen sailing past him on the way to the end zone.
That there isn't a way this young kid can get a shot at the final 53man roster. Has he stood out on special teams? Is he worth taking over Washington? I agree that he should make it based on the beat writers summaries of his performance this year at training camp. However, Jones is a known quantity and may be needed sooner than expected if Cruz can't recover adequately from his calf injury.
I never understood Jones signing. He is not insurance for Cruz
On the Washington view. Never understood all the love for him. All he did was score TD's in the pre-season against 3rd string defenses and a few catches at garbage time last year. My eyes see a tall lean receiver that reminds me of Barden. Not a good route runner and not physical.Rarely gets any separation.
2nd Harris / Talley / Davis
Talley won't make it either.
