I was so wrong about this guy. I remember being very impressed when he played the Giants his rookie year, thought he was going to be a force for a long time.
I watched him dominate in the SEC (see video clip of one play in particular), and I thought that would translate to him being a beast of a player in the NFL. Wrong. He did this to my team back in 2011 - ( New Window )

any running back will look impressive against the Giants.
I thought he'd be better than Lacy coming out of Bama.
and he turned out to be a musclebound, stiff back in the NFL. Only he didn't have a huge offensive line advantage or opponents like Kent State in the NFL. Oh wait, Kent State pushed his shit in his last year at Bama. #4 overall was lunacy.

They wasted a #3 overall on Richardson, traded him to the Colts for one of their 2014 #'1's and used it to draft Manziel after moving up 3 slots. Good move on their part? I don't think so. Justin Gilbert, their other #1 in 2014 has been a disappointment as well. I'd like to see them do well. I went to college in the Cleveland area. But it's not looking good.

Don't forget, when they were at #4 in 2012, They traded their 4th, 5th and 7th to Minnesota to move up to #3 to make sure they drafted him.

Yep.
But instead, he's running right into the back of one of his teammates to the right.
#3 - Richardson
#5 - Blackmon
Ouch. 3 of the top 5 could be out of the league within 12 months.

Kalil (#4) and Claiborne (#6) aren't exactly lighting it up either.
#3*
At least he good for something - as a bad example.

Granted a different era, but Earl Campbell, Billy Sims, Eric Dickerson, Tony Dorsett, George Rogers, Ottis Anderson were all pretty good players.
More recently, Adrian Petersen, Marshawn Lynch, Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Cadillac Williams, Stephen Jackson come to mind.
But yes, the game has changed and RB has become more a value pick rather than a premium back,
