I gather the Giants did not put in a waiver claim / awarded a player off waiver from the cuts to 75. Any insights on other waiver claims awarded to other teams about players the Giants may have been interested in?

If he is waived with an injury settlement, I don't think he can be signed to the PS...at least for six weeks.

He was waived/injured.

Waived/injured guys are then placed on IR if they clear waivers. They can stay on IR or then be cut from IR. But they can't then re-sign with the team for a while.

Think again. I do not believe that this is a case of loyalty to veteran players as some bloggers have maintained with regard to other players and certain ST coordinators.
It is simply an indication of arteriosclerosis, i.e. coaches so set in their ways that they cannot part with familiar but incompetent players and coaches.

I am however, pleased that they found a way to retain Akeem Hunt. Explosiveness and speed is something this team lacks. Perhaps Hunt will supply that later this season.

Again, there is a good chance that these two will be waived off of IR shortly.
