So I'm watching this Giants Training Camp Live on msg and Stapleton from the Bergen Record is claiming that Brown didn't meet with Spagnuolo before the Giants signed him. He said straight up, there was no meeting and Brown is immediately the #2 behind Collins. Plus, Brown demanded his release from Houston. Uh. What the fuck?
Too, it does take some people more time than Adrian Peterson to recover from an ACL..Recover in speed and cutting..Probably not in his case, but still, for whatever reason, skill and/or divine intervention, he has a nose for the ball..
Yeah, he won't know all the calls on D, but as an NFL vet, he's likely to pick the defense up quickly.
If he doesn't work out, they had a body for the game.
This. I can't imagine why the DC would have to be consulted for a minor pickup, but if Spagnuolo needed to know something, he can talk to the guy who coached Brown when he was here.
Whom! Excellent grammar.

Whom! Excellent grammar.
I've had a problem with "who" and "whom" from time to time..I have always believed that "who" was plural and "whom" was singular..Please set me straight..:)
Yeah, that is nitpicking. If anyone gets injured they likely get a settlement and I believe I saw he got a $40k signing bonus.

Bruce, time strapped. I'll get to this later, if someone else hasn't.
"No bodies" Last I looked there was 5. Well 4 1/2.

at a particular position. Ugh. Outrageous amount of injuries at one position and we're not even out of the pre-season yet.

Sorry, nevermind the brain cramp
Alternatively, we could always line up the way the Redskins did on the first play of the season after Sean Taylor was killed.
^ I agree with this.
I don't understand why some of you guys get so bent out of shape over these kind of no-risk signings.
We needed another body, that's it. If we need to we can ditch him and get another body. No risk. WTF.

Hey, Bruce ...
Here's the difference:
Who is used in the subjective case, i.e., as the subject of a sentence.
A helpful trick is to substitute the matching personal pronoun and see if it makes sense.
Who was that masked man? Subjective case. HE was the masked man, not Him was the masked man.
He is the guy who stole your money. Subjective case. HE stole your money, not HIM stole your money.
Whom is used in the objective case, often as the object of a prepositional phrase.
Jerry Reese is the man in whom we trust. We trust HIM, not He.
Six men, ofwhom all were BBI posters, took over coaching the team and led the Giants to the Super Bowl.
Not the best example because it's plural and you'd use THEY were BBI posters.
OR
We wondered whom Coach Couglin's tirade was about. Whom, objective case because the tirade was about HIM or HER, (the unknown person) which is the objective personal pronoun. It's not the subjective case because you wouldn't say, the tirade was about he/she. Another example:
Jerry Reese consulted an astrologer, whom he met in Seattle. Objective case because Reese (he) met HIM (objective case) in Seattle. You wouldn't say Reese met he.
Hope that helps. There'll be a quiz tomorrow.
