I expect NYG to devise a game plan which takes risks and leaves wr in 1 on q coverage and blitz if they can stop the run.
Excellent thread..

way to contribute. it gets to a point where some are full of such negativity with this team that I wonder why they even bother watching.
Another BBI meme

based on the final minute of the second game and ignoring everything else.

Romo only threw 49 passes combined in the two games. He was sacked 4 times, hit 7 times more and threw a pick. So, Romo got whacked on average once every 4 passes. That's not great protection.

The two guys who killed us were Murray and Bryant. Murray ran for 250 yards and Bryant caught 16 passes and 2 td's.

Everyone wants to bitch about the pass rush, but the back 7 was ass-raped by Bryant and Murray in both games and no one remembers that.

they spread it around and we are vulnerable to it regardless of the pressure. The other guy that killed us was that Beasly guy.
They also

suffered a dropped interception by Rolle in his endzone that would have taken a touchdown off the board, Homer. The ball went through his damn hands. Fewell crafted game plans against them last season that worked in the first half of each game. The Cowboys saw what he was doing then made their adjustmmnts with benefit of better personnel. If Spagnuolo goes balls to wall after Romo, Dallas will get six touchdown & 2 FGs from their 10 drive starts.

The Giants do a get a break with Murray gone. However, with their kicker, who is automatic from 57 and in, they have points every time they reach the Giants 40. Coughlin has it right with what he has been saying about his defense in camp. Yeah they are going to give up skads of yardage. Compress the field, don't get beat over the top and make them kick FGs at the end of drives. At critical junctures, steal the ball.
Man, some of you guys are never happy...

if following the Giants did this to me I think I'd find a better way to spend my time. I mean be whatever kind of fan you want...who am I to tell you how to follow your team...I'm just speaking for me.

I wouldn't waist my energy if the only pay back was being negative and cranky.
Don't blame Fewell!
sb from NYT Forum : 9/2/2015 11:50 pm : link
It was the game's fault for going too fast for him to get the right guys on the field. Stupid game!

As a honest Cowboys fan, I don't see this game being as easy of a win (For Dallas) as what some on here are leading themselves to believe. The O-line has looked like shite at times, but they all haven't played much together (this preseason) either.

+D-Line has vastly improved.
+ Randy Gregory looks like real deal on passing downs, though I feel like he can be neutralized by running the ball at him.
-Scandrick to IR is hurtful
-Romo looked stiff this preseason
-Questions at RB
-We have our own questions at Safety;
See, that's what the purpose of the thread was...

Maybe Romo only has 1 second to complete a pass in the 2015 season.
The poster about that ONE incident when Romo had tons of time was correct.

They are going to target the SHIT out of the middle of the field and kill us.

one-on-one with Miles Austin? If Romo doesn't overthrow it/Austin wasn't gimpy...Let's not be too overconfident about Spags...just sayin'
RetroJint - Excellent post. Here's a statistical oddity for you:
Big Blue Blogger : 9/3/2015 3:52 am : link
In the two years since Josh Brown joined the Giants, he has a higher overall FG percentage than Dan Bailey (90.4 vs. 89.8) and a higher percentage from 50+ yards (83.3 vs. 78.6). Obviously, given my choice I'd take Bailey in a heartbeat. He's nine years younger and his effective range is at least five yards longer. But comparing kickers is a little like comparing closers in baseball: the actual difference in outcomes between the "great" and the "pretty good" is smaller than the difference in the amount of comfort/anxiety they give fans. If Jerry Jones offered to settle the opener with a kicking duel, I might take my chances with a healthy Josh Brown.

As for the original topic of this thread, the real question with Romo throughout his career hasn't been how long it takes the rush to get to him. It's whether the defense puts him on the ground (preferably in the ground) when they get there. The man will get his yards, and he will probably make the defense look like sh!t most of the night. He will also give the Giants chances to make plays, by holding the ball too long, or trusting Bryant and Witten to make plays while covered, or using that patented spin move on a play where the DE actually stays home. If the Giants make those plays, they have a shot. If not, they will probably get blown out.
Did you mean to say, How many days on average

To blogger's point
Sneakers O'toole : 9/3/2015 5:50 am : link
football, as watered down as it might be today, is still a full contact sport. Hit Romo early and often. And let him know he's going to get hit.
And if that takes
Sneakers O'toole : 9/3/2015 5:55 am : link
blitz packages that might get us beat deep early in the game to make the point, ,make the point anyway. Even in this day and age physicality will matter, take Romo out of his comfort zone. And the weaker we are roster wise( an assessment I'll leave to the coaches for now) the more aggressive I would be.

I have been coming here for years on and off. I normally don't come around much during off season. For whatever reason when I came back this year my account had been deleted. This is the same username I use to go by.

Randy Gregory has not been suspended. Greg Hard was the one suspended.

Actually just posted a thread about Gregory. Very unhappy that the Giants will have to deal with him twice a year. How has he looked in preseason? Actually, post it in my thread \m/

Thought he got hit for weed.
OC: He tested positive, but that just puts him in the program.

Suspensions are for subsequent offenses.
Even when we had a pass rush
WideRight : 9/3/2015 11:00 am : link
Romo had they talent to extend plays. It may not be much different.

The key to get hits on him. Wether it takes 3 seconds or 10 seconds. Once he starts getting hit he a different QB, more prone to mistakes.
