Total different velocity in his balls, puts them on a wire. I don't care if it's against a scrubs night and day the guy has started to show that he is worth something this preseason.
That's not on Williams. You know he's not a gifted receiver, so don't throw a late ball behind him. The play is designed to hit him in stride so he doesn't have to turn and come back to the ball.

Andre Williams has shown improvement, he looks like he knows the holes better, maybe the holes are bigger and the line is playing better in comparison to last season, but he does look like a sharper runner
Instead of moving his feet, he is just reaching/holding. Bad sign that he can't handle the speed.
This is to be expected from a rookie at that position.
Not really for a rookie picked in the first round. It seems to be nearly every snap. He shouldn't be tired as the game just started, but he looks beat.

Your joking right. Start listing 1st round rookie LT sensations in the last decade??
and holy shit. Its the Tom Brady Network....and I would hope that a major market team like New England wouldn't have such homers announcing a game....i hope Papa and Banks don't sound this bad. I expect this from a Cincinnati or Kansas City local team but NE???

They are terrible. Its a fair weather sport for this area.

pffft. Rookies seldom improve.
He has 12 carries for 19 yards this preseason. If that is improvement, I don't want any part of Andre Williams
With the first team offense, sans OBJ, Nassib has led us to 3 points on 3 drives, and that drive had a lot of NE penalties on it. This was against all backups.
does this mean he stinks and cant cut it? No. But people need to relax on him ready to take over the helm.
after that dropped TD? What else does he have to do to deserve a bus ticket home? He stinks worse than the mouse that died behind the refrigerator two years ago.
The best thing about this game is it should be the end
even though he had no reason to. Receiver never looked for the ball.
Doesn't matter. He does not have to look to draw a penalty. Hosley got caught with bad footwork and had to hold Wayne so he would not get beaten deep.
I wasn't saying the penalty shouldn't have been called. I was saying that there was no reason for Hosley to hold the receiver because Lindley's pass was so badly overthrown.
After the draft, I said that I thought Collins was going to be a very good player for a long time for us. I just liked his ball instincts and sure tackling. As long as Spags does not have him thinking too much out there, he will be good.

You were reacting to the end of the play. Before the ball was in the air Hosley realized that Wayne was going to get by him so he held. At that point, Hosley did not even know the ball was going to be thrown there.
With the promising players we have elsewhere in a tough battle like Unga, I really have moved on from Moore. All of these years and now new coaching he still is undisciplined
Moore could have put out his arms to avoid crunching the RB with his upper body; Moore is just not a smart player; the late tackle on Lindley was about as flagrant as could be, right in front of the Ref. Nunn read him a mini-riot act.
Moore could have avoided the contact you say was caused by the hit from behind, come on
NEVER been a fan. Yes, he has improved since rookie year but I still think a veteran backup would be better. He IS NOT the future QB for this team. His mechanics suck and he scrambles out of the pocket with so much as a hint of pressure. He should have broken that habit long ago. He is no longer a rookie. Please obtain a vet backup Jerry!
Two guys stop him....then each thinks the other is taking Bromley....neither one does, and Bromley runs through a hole and he goes in unblocked and gets a sack....
Love Darkwa, but if he is truly the 4th RB, he probably won't even be active on game day unless someone is hurt.
Eric...starting to like him more than Williams. He has more explosion the the whole...a more assertive runner. Catches it and can block. But yeah, I'm sure they rank him #4.
Love Darkwa, but if he is truly the 4th RB, he probably won't even be active on game day unless someone is hurt.
True, but I like the insurance of 3RBs, especially with Jennings injury history. I just think he's about as good as your going to find as a 4th RB, and he's there on specials when you need him.
I am just at a loss of words. He supposedly an athletic freak and didnt really produce at Cincinnati. So, when I see him on the field I can understand not being a football player but I would like to at least see an athlete. His body moves like molasses. Seriously, what did our scouts see in him?
you how these draft guides and our interpretation of them is often wrong. Based on the draft reports, Davis looked like our worst draft pick.
Davis has the things draft guides often overlook in WRs. Good routes, good body control, knows how to create room to make a catch, and finds the opening in coverage. Sometimes when you are not the best athlete at WR, you become a better all around WR than those guys who live off their speed.

just needs to get down on that play. He took an unnecessary hit. Stupidly. But he made some very nice throws on that drive. Hart has looked very good. Cleary and Donnelly as well. Davis with another nice catch. Talley with a good reception.
Seems to always been in the right spot for turnovers. Not bad........could beginning of last year been Stevie getting over his ACL?! He supposedly got better during 2nd half of last year. Maybe, just maybe he can give us something this year.

Kerry Wynn starts for Cullen Jenkins. George Selvie starts for Robert Ayers. Jameel McClain goes for Jon Beason.
Cooper Taylor will start at safety in place of Jeromy Miles. Coughlin seemed impressed with Taylor's play last week.
The #Giants game captains are Center Weston Richburg, DT Jonathan Hankins and WR Dwayne Harris #GiantsPride
Nassib has been very impressive. That third down pass was incomplete, but the throw was strong and accurate. He also showed great mobility.
Can someone push the next week ...
What's your name, Mike? Munch goes the cat
Cant believe Brady gets another shot
Great play by Collins. McClain ran right past Lindley. Kuhn was buried, but in all fairness, he was double teamed.
GIANT BALL!
They've been rotating.
If you want to see Kuhn in the game, just look for the DL always on the ground.
what the hell is he doing with those feet?
If you want to see Kuhn in the game, just look for the DL always on the ground.
LMAO! Or the DT pushed back into the second level.
Nassib is fine. He's trying to buy time. His mobility is excellent.
Nor can he catch.
"So lets throw to Andre Williams"....LOL
Nassib sucks..
"So lets throw to Andre Williams"....LOL
This is a preseason game for crying out loud
I think Andre Williams is a car wreck and I don't mean that as a compliment.
"So lets throw to Andre Williams"....LOL
Vereen is out now. He was in for one run earlier.
This is to be expected from a rookie at that position.
Don't use facts now.
Then GTFO, pussy. This is my house.

9/15ers
hey everyone, theres a woman referee out there
Something tells me you wont be here long
(like Cam in MO, nigga!)
He's so fucking overrated anyway
But we knew he would be up and down in the beginning, we all agreed right? We have to be patient.
Guy is the third or fourth string QB?!
Our OL needs work at the run or else we are 1D offense.
They are terrible. Its a fair weather sport for this area.

He is vastly undersized at that position
Daniel Fells is out with a shoulder injury.
He got the first with it.
can make the team, if that injury is severe.
Great work, Cooper ....
Didn't realize he had 106 tackles last year
Sure there is. Both of them caught 6 touchdowns last season.
Doesn't matter. He does not have to look to draw a penalty. Hosley got caught with bad footwork and had to hold Wayne so he would not get beaten deep.
Being Hosley?

And Selvie playing well too!
Looks good however, it's against back ups. I'm tempering my enthusiasm.
Agreed. Why is he still playing? Stupid.
And Selvie playing well too!
Selvie and Wynn. The D line came tonight.
Yes, but what about the players
Why?
The Pats have gotten ZERO on the ground.
Moore could have avoided the contact you say was caused by the hit from behind, come on
I think part of the no-show this preseason is the vanilla play-calling and the use of mostly second-string WRs.
I like this version of you more
I don't if they're going to be able to cut this kid.
I don't if they're going to be able to cut this kid.
They'd be foolish to cut him, he brings so much value as a 4th RB.
Eric...starting to like him more than Williams. He has more explosion the the whole...a more assertive runner. Catches it and can block. But yeah, I'm sure they rank him #4.
Hosley has been the first downfield on at least 2-3 punts.
You've got to keep him, even if he plays little this year. Jennings is thirty and had an injury history. RBs take a pounding in this league.

You and I are in the same boat then.
What really has me worried tonight is how poorly Meriweather is doing.
+1. He lumbers like a 350-pound guy.
#Giants OL Brett Jones came off the field limping and is currently on the ground in front of sideline being checked by trainers. #NYG
No, that honor went to our fifth round pick.
The fact that he is still in the game cannot be a good sign for him. Or so the Germans would have us believe.

Yes I got that, so how does that make the 5th rd pick the worst?
Meriweather has NEVER been able to cover anyone.
Is that legal?
Karma in the universe.
SUCK IT BBI.
that's just it....he can stay with his guy....but his ball skills suck beyond belief!
He's just bad. Poor technique.
Daniel Fells back on the field here. Bizarre #Giants
I think he keeps his job. Remember that he is the holder, so anybody new won't have the same chemistry and timing with Brown. That's important.

Guess he really wants that job. Nice to see
WE WANT OVERTIME.
Wish our starters would follow that...
Nice that Moore redeemed himself too
