deal referenced above was he ended up scoring a TD on either a botched FG run or a fake punt run against Florida I believe. Took it to the house and was holding the ball out while high stepping into the end zone.
Bomb of a leg, not sure what hes done with Pittsburgh
In 2014, Wing signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers to serve as the punter and holder for field goals and PATs. In the fourth quarter of a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his punt went only 29 yards, giving the ball to the Buccaneers at the Steelers' 46-yard line with 40 seconds to go. The Buccaneers scored the game-winning touchdown a few plays later.[12]
In a game against the Baltimore Ravens on November 2, 2014, following a botched snap on a point-after kick for which Wing was the holder, Wing completed a pass to Matt Spaeth for a two-point conversion.

Why Wing over guys like Zastudil and Fields? They can't be seeking THAT much money. And to give up a draft pick for what is pretty much an untested punter, even if it's a 7th rounder. It just seems odd.
If it's a 6th or lower, then your chances of finding anyone that spends significant time on a roster doing anything but exchanging air for carbon dioxide are slim to none.
And I'm totally prepared to see half this place go nuclear over the pick just like they did over Beason. And Beason was a linebacker who had a history of playing at a high level.. now we're talking about a punter. Meltdowns will be had.

Zastudil is old. He was probably cut from his team for the same reason Weatherford was just cut. Declining.
The same might be said for Fields. Yeah, he's a former pro bowler, but if he's not playing at that level any more, you'd move on.
If the Giants see Wing as a viable punter for this season and beyond
Naturally there was uproar amongst some fans and no small amount wonder at what would make the Cardinals certain that Drew Butler was the best option after last year. In fact, during Bruce Arians usual Q&A on Monday via arizonasports.com he addressed questions on the decision saying,
"I think he [Drew Butler] won the battle easily on a daily basis."

Geremy Davis and Bobby Hart say otherwise.
Hope it's conditional and requires significant performance or the pick comes back.
experience has scarred some Giants fans permanently. Punting really isn't that hard guys. Most are not Matt Dodge. Here's some reassurance on this guy
Quote:
"When I came to LSU I just finished coaching Matt Dodge [with the New York Giants] and we drafted Matt Dodge in the sixth round. And Brad was better than Matt Dodge his freshman year at LSU,"
is going to be similar to the one the Giants got from the Broncos last year where McManus had to be on the roster for a certain number of games in order to receive the pick.

What do they say - 'Hey, I almost made the roster!'.
Steelers traded Brad Wing to the Giants for a late-round draft pick, according to a source

Brad Wing is actually close friends with Odell Beckham. They hang out in offseason #giants #lsu
Big leg.

That Matt Dodge fear comment: ditto.
This must be a 'family' thing between the Rooneys and Maras.
That rhythm between a placekicker and holder doesn't happen overnight.

I'm in class right now. I've got to do something! What do you expect me to do? Like PAY ATTENTION? Haha

Davis and Hart look good, but let's not sell the lemonade stand yet.
