B in ALB will probably point out that I may be developing a tendency to say this about every safety that has familiarity with Spags or the Giants in general (and he knows more about the sport so I do defer to his judgement).... but fuck it, bring him in. It can't hurt.
(yes, I know that Stevie Brown never played under Spags).
teams. They weer cut from the Jints and other teams for a reason!
because there never are good players who are cut and produce elsewhere? right.
not that Dahl is any good - I don't know - but there are many useful players who get cut. it's not as simple as that logic. the giants have had to make tough decisions to cut solid players because of a numbers crunch, happens all the time.

For fuck's sake guys, at this point what would you have them do? Are there any pro bowl safeties sitting out there. If you are so smart give me a fucking name...just one.
Played for Spags in SL. Wouldnt surprise me if they brought him in. Merriweather hasn't impressed on ST. Dahl would be an upgrade there, I imagine. Wouldn't be any morw than a fourth safety.
a couple games late in our 2007 super bowl season too and started for Spags in St Louis. It's hard to believe he's a 9 year vet and not some young UDFA
Dahl restructured his contract for the second straight year and played in every game for the team over the last two seasons, but that wasn’t enough for him to hold onto a roster spot.
He was good enough to make the Giants as an undrafted free agent and well thought of enough that Spags wanted him and started him in St. Louis and later signed as a free agent to a strong Niners defense. Given the youth movement at the safety position in San Fran, it's no surprise they let him go.
He's younger and smarter than Merriweather and I'm guessing would be a better veteran voice in the locker room. Plus he has years of experience on special teams. If he's healthy, he certainly makes sense.

WHOA! That's a bit harsh. Haha!
I say kick'em

I don't see Brown or Meriweather as ST players like that.
