He is worth a look. A TE combination of Donnell, Cunningham (or Fells) and Koyack is not a bad idea. He is young, can block and has an upside. I wanted the Giants to draft him late in this years draft. Fells is what he is and Robinson is useless. Koyack serves the roll of a young blocking TE with decent hands.
Just because a team sucks doesnt mean all of their players do. JT Thomas? Besides, we had one of the worst teams in the league last year as well. Where is all this talent on the Giants that would make it so hard for him to stick?
really Blueblood? Are the Giants reigning champs? Hardly.
Jacksonville like many have said. Besides being reasonably talented, he played TE, at Notroe Dame which is a TE "U". They know how to breed TEs there. Most of ND's TE crops play years in the NFL.
...is that he probably needs a year of weight work and pro coaching before he can do the job they would be acquiring him for. He has the frame and attitude to be a Fasano-type #2 TE, but in the near term, he might actually be a downgrade from Daniel Fells.
Where you want Koyack, for at least the early part of 2015, is the practice squad. Assuming the scouts like him at all, I'd pay extra to get him there. The Jags will bid for him, and others might too. I think he's worth more to the Giants. I just don't think there's a roster spot for him on a team that needs immediate help in the running game.
The fact they have Julius Thomas and Marcedes Lewis means he had to beat out Clay Harbor, who would compete to be a starter on our roster, sad to say.
