Best Giants-Cowboys memory? Worst?

Best: R.W. McQuarters interception in 2007 playoff game.

Worst: Jim Jeffcoat's interception and TD in Dallas in 1985.

2-2008 Division playoff win..

Worst?

Almost any game from mid '60s to 1980

9-9-2007. The game was a loss but watching Eli in that shootout it made me feel really good about the offense.

That year ended pretty good too :D

I was "in da buildin" for the Quincy Carter game. You could feel the air being sucked out of the place after the OT field goal.
For me...

The 35-0 loss on MNF to open the 1995 season was like a kick in the gut because we actually had high hopes for a big year going into it. It was both humiliating and deeply discouraging.

honorable mention for best: the 2011 games vs dallas, the dave brown trucking deion sanders game, and the first win in the cowboys new stadium
honorable mention for worst: the quincy carter game, last year's home game
Most mentioned already

but I have to say among the best memories are:

JPP blocked FG game in 2011 is up there for me, especially in retrospect. the Giants season could have ended that game, but they fought hard, won, and went on to the SB.

also one of my fist football memories is the Joe Danelo game winning FG to send the Giants to the playoffs for the first time in ages.

1981 game that put the Giants into the playoffs. 2007 playoff win was pretty darn special. One of my favorites, well actually two of my favorites: 1980 the Giants win 38-35 in a season that went nowhere for the Giants. That was a fun game to watch. Mike Friede (sp) with a big play late in the game. 1984, second game of the season and LT with two huge sack fumbles deep in Giants territory. One of them returned 81 yards by Andy Headen for a TD.

Worst, 1985 against the Boys at Dallas. Giants should have won this game and were one deep pass dropped my McConkey away from taking momentum and the game from the Boys. Jeffcoat with a huge play that killed the Gmen.

Of Course the late game craziness that allowed a not so good boys team to take a kickoff with 11 seconds and still get in FG range and win the game. UGGGHHH

Worst used to be the 94 Emmitt Smith shoulder game but I've grown to appreciate that game over time as the Giants really were not a serious challenge to San Fran.
The 81 game setting the Giants up for the playoffs...

even though I was a fairly new fan it was awesome(plus Madden/Summerall called a great game).

So many bad ones over the years...but the most recent irritation was last year. Watching Romo have time to walk over and get a drink before throwing the ball was awful.

Also knowing the Giants wouldn't stop them in the first place before the drive even started.
best was at home in 96
Dankbeerman : 9/11/2015 9:22 am : link
We were bad they were still pretty good and defending champs. My first cowboy game. Nose bleeds behind the goal post Watching the fumble returned for a td coming right at me. Improbable to me at that time. Close second Monday night game when tiki returns the punt For a td ans we hang on with last second field goal.

Worst Christmas eve 1994. Watching in a small tv in the intesive care unit after not being able to sTay in my grandfathers room because I had a cold. Last time I saw him alive.

Best - 2007 playoff

Worst - 16-13 OT loss in Jan 94 to lose NFC East. Taylor with his head down on the bench and Irvin yelling at the crowd "take it like a man".

Worst, can't remember if it was 1995 or 96,
barens : 9/11/2015 9:35 am : link
first game of the season, they come in and steam roll us, D. Sanders first game as a Cowboy I think, and the media frenzy that night was all about the Cowboys, ughh was that awful.

The best, there a couple I have to mention...

1-1981, last game of the regular season, they beat the Cowboys in a super tough game, to earn a wild card spot, the first playoff birth they had in more than a decade I believe.

2-And 2011, the game in Dallas, was one of the most exciting and satisfactory games of all time, beating the Cowboys all but slingshotted the Giants into the playoffs.
Same game

Best - McQuarters

Worst - Webster dropping the pick during the 20 play drive. The frustration of the drive, the joy of what looked like a possible pick six, the agony of seeing him drop it.

That game is a doozy in Giants history for me. Of 2007 and 2011 it's the only one I thought we'd get destroyed.

Best(s)
2008 playoff game (McQuarters)
2011 at Dallas (JPP)
2000 at Dallas (rally from 13-0 to clinch division)

Worst
2003 vs. Dallas (rally from 29-14, then Bryant kicks the ball OoB)
1993 vs. Dallas (we shouldn't have lost that game, and the season could have ended very differently)
For me

Best- 2007 playoffs. Knocking them out in their home park, Jacobs smashing the play clock and breaking a light on it, and Jerruh's stupid bitter face. Wonderful

Worst- Tied for 1995, 2003, 2013. In these losses, it would expose the Giants very early in the season and set the stage for a horrible year. In 1995, thinking the Giants were in position to challenge Dallas, I drove down from Boston College to see them play thinking that the Giants were ready. Fired up for Simms' jersey retirement. And then Emmitt went 60 yards, took off his helmet, mugged for the camera and fans like the asshole he was and they dismantled the Giants 35-0. I was supposed to stay at my parents house overnight, but I was so pissed, I drove back up to Boston after midnight to get back to school.

Best memory: 1990 NFC title game. I say this because of the magnitude of the game, the strength of the opponent, and the fact that this is really also my first memory of what will be a lifetime of Giants football.

Worst memory: The sick, empty feeling of leaving Giants Stadium in January 2009 after McNabb and the Eagles did it to us one more time in a year that was supposed to be ours. Eli played poorly, the defense was gassed, McNabb picked up the sideline phone mocking us. That season was a bigger wasted opportunity than the Super Bowl loss, hands down. I was sick for a month after that one.

best was the playoff victory on January 13, 2008. That was the last time I spent with my father, who died the next day. The worst was the 35-0 loss on MNF in 1995 to open the season as someone said.

and in that shoulder game a rookie Jessie Armstead wiffed on a smith fumble deep in Dallas territory on the first or second drive that could have changed everything. I hate that game but boy was that a hard hitting kick ass football game.we win home field throughout...maybe another SB title??

Amen!
In December 1981, I was working as a nurse's aide at a rest home and there was this maintenance guy who was a diehard Cowboys fan. He knew I was a Giant fan and would ride me about being a Giant fan. While we were working that day at the game he bragged all through the game about how the Cowboys were going to kill the Giants. We had to work all through the game and checked out the game in residents' rooms until the fourth quarter when it went into OT. We watched when White threw the interception and then Danelo kicked the field goal. Talk about choking on crow, every day that week when I mentioned the Giants the guy would just put his head down. LOL
Second-place: the McQuarters interception in the end zone to end the game in 2007 and the expression on that clown Jones face in the box...priceless. Remember how he had put playoff tickets to Green Bay and his players lockers?
For worst memory… The one that stands out to me is the first game of the '86 season when at the end of the game Herschel Walker strolled into the end zone for the final score beating us and even LT admitted that he just let him go by because he was "so tired"
Second-place: last years game at MetLife, I swear that if we played any semblance of an aggressive blitz defense and got to Romo, we would've won that game.
I'm trying to ignore all of the worst moments

December 19, 1981- Dorsett fumble sets up Joe Daniello FG in OT to win it for Giants and put them closer to the playoffs. It was a Saturday game and I was there- very cold from what I remember. We had to wait until Sunday to be sure the Giants made it in (I think the Jets had to win).

Worst was Dorsett running for a long TD- Monday night game, I believe LT was being honored, and Dorsett broke off an 80 tard TD run. Ruined the night.

Simms got intercepted by Too Tall Jones who ran the ball back for a TD and the win. I was there and almost killed myself. That was when Simms went nuts in an interview after the game when he found out Toast Patterson called him a "facade" of a quarterback. When was that?
