It is unbelievable to be saying this, but Quin is finally earning his keep. First off, through 3 games our coverage of both punts and kickoffs has been very good outside that one return last night. Our return game has been solid with Harris. Wing is doing a very nice job.
But, most important to me was the blocked punt. They obviously saw something there and put in a play. I don't believe Jennings is normally on the field for punts. So, credit needs to go to the coaching staff as much as him for that great individual play.
He looks like an all pro out there.

I wouldn't go that far. The ATL was definitely better and got way more hang time on his punts. Wing has excelled at pinning them inside the 20 though.
Seriously thought a hold should have been called
Idk if you can draw that conclusion
He's a WR, so he better be. Harris is the deep man and I believe Beckham had the "weak" side of the field.
These mortar kicks are supposed to be shorter (few yards into the endzone) but with much more hang time allowing the cover unit to get down the field. They've actually worked really well for the most part this year and they've done a good job making plays inside the 20. Unfortunately, they blew the coverage once last night and we saw the result.
The KO return stunk, but we can hope that the team won't keep making the same mistakes that they make late in an early-season game played on 3 days' rest.
The second one was a really good kick.
Hopefully, just a blip on the radar....
But damn, they made an easy win, look close...
Our ST should be a team strength this year.
Between signing guys to decent contracts just for STs to keeping players who offer little outside of STs on the roster to playing starters on STs, there's not likely a team that's going as all in on that unit right now as the Giants have decided to.
2) The second onside kick was an excellent kick by the Redskins PK. Randle should not have touched the first one.
He lines up as the end man in the box, left or right, in a three point, right-handed stance with his head up.
Through film study, the Giants appear to be targeting the "weaker" of the two wings in the punt protection scheme. Last night, it was the Redskins' number 59, Terrance Plummer. Jennings drove Plummer right into the block point, about two feet in front of the punter's foot.
For the Redskins next (and last) punt, Plummer was replaced on the wing by number 89, Derek Carrier.
Very Feagles like.
