That would put him back for game 7 or game 10, depending.
JPP has a follow up meeting with the team scheduled sometime in October. They'll evaluate him and make a determination if they want him to try and give it a go at that time. If they think he's not ready, the team has until November 19 to sign him.
Once he returns to practice, there is a 3 week window to activate to the 53 man roster. If he cannot make either deadline, he is deactivated for the year.
So, as said above, somewhere between week 7 and 10.
So you could argue he is activated Week 10, kept inactive for that game and then returns Week 12. At that late in the season, the questions are: A) Can he contribute in a meaningful way? B) Does he automatically get his starting LT spot (or named starting RT), C) Do you favor continuity on the line and instead make him a backup?
IIRC, he's healed rather quickly before, from his broken leg he suffered as a Giant. Perhaps his mom being a Reverend helps...
He's an interesting guy, a renaissance man talented in the kitchen and with art and drawing, and now is a fashion designer with his own line I believe.
The original plan was flowers at RT. Dont confuse whats best for flowers with whats best 4 the team. Flowers has been spotty pass blocking and theyll want beatty there down the stretch
How are they simply going to plug in Beatty after he has had no camp/preseason/practice? They can't. He'll have to practice a few weeks before they even seriously consider this unless there is an injury.
As far as I know, Flowers has never played right tackle. Completely different stance/reverse hand use/footwork. Is moving him to the right side smart?
at miami.
Beatty returned cold off a back injury + performed well.
We arent talking about splitting atoms here: its football. Flowers is a f#cking football player. He'll have to adjust but he'll battle. He was originally going to play RT so im not sure what the confusion is. We already know that was the plan
High ankle sprains are minimum 4-6 week injuries...it is a different set of ligaments than a common sprain...these ligaments take longer for an athlete to come back because all the shock from running and cutting are effected by this ligament and it is longer that ligament to heal
Generally a player will be put in a boot to stabilize the leg and keep the pressure off of the ankle so it can heal and not be aggravated..
If you are going to make shit up bout a players injury at least get your facts straight first
Which is possible with the rookie wall. Beatty will either move to rt or be a back up barring injuries of course. Having flowers learn a new position that late in the season would be stupid a and imo detrimental to his development at this point in time. If Beatty didn't get hurt fine pay him at rt than move him but that isn't what happened

If he's going to be this team's future LOT for a while. let him stay & learn & improve.
Find out if Beatty can play guard (doubtful) or right tackle.

There have been questions about his toughness, but it shows up pretty good when turnovers make him a defensive player.
Old article on Beatty after Giants drafted him - ( New Window )

Also flowers never played rt at Miami he started his freshmen year at Lt
Beatty is not going to be activated the week he comes off pup...he is going to have to practice a couple if weeks
He does have a HAS. I never said hed b out 4-6 weeks. I said we should rest him

Do you realize how long he would be out if he had a high ankle sprain? 4-6 weeks minimum...also he would in a boot which he isnt
Again what a shock you are wrong...
