Q: Their defense has been strong against the run. How challenging will that be?

A: They’re a good defense, strong up front, obviously. We’ve seen the damage that they can do, but I think, with that being said, we don’t pay attention to how active the linebackers are, how good their secondary is, too. They’re a good defense all the way around. We’re going to have a good challenge. We’ve got a good game plan, we just need to execute.

Q: What are your thoughts on the whole thing with Victor Cruz not being able to play?

A: He’s a playmaker, ain’t no question about it. He changes the dynamic of the game every time he’s on the field. Obviously we want to get him back as quick as we can, but we’ve got playmakers that can make plays, too. He’s not somebody you replace, he’s somebody that you want to get back but we’ve got playmakers that are going to step in and we could win with them

Q: So can your offense make something happen with this very good Buffalo defense?

A: We can. We very well can. Like I said, this is a stout defense. We plan on playing four quarters against them. They’ve got a plethora of blitzes that we’re going to be ready for, it’s going to be a four-quarter game, we’re playing at their house, so the crowd can be a factor, but we’re ready for the challenge.

Q: Would it be safe to say you guys are a little more loose than a week ago? Having more fun in here?

A: We look at it from the opposite end. I wouldn’t say we’re loose, I would say we’re tightened in the right areas, which makes us firing. We’re having a good time playing football like we know how to so we’ve got to keep building on that.

Q: So you expect a big effort?

A: We do. This is a big game. It’s a road game for us, we’re going against a great opponent, an opportunity to get another W. So it’s going to be a good game.

Q: How big a role does the running back play in stopping the blitz?

A: I play a huge role. I protect Eli a bunch and I kind of feel like I’m the last line of defense to get to the quarterback, so I take pride in any leakage. I’m in his eye every single play, every running back is. We’re kind of his body armor back there.
