I wont buy the first year of a remodel...let them work out the bugs
If you are referring to the Tacoma's first year
EricJ : 10/2/2015 10:46 pm : link
I am not worried about it. It is not a complete remodel and that is what the warranty is for.
Tacomas.

I have had the last 2 models and will be getting another truck in a couple of years. Interested in comparing the new Tacoma and the Colorado.

2006 Tacoma Double Cab 2WD in 2010. Found one of the earliest models with side impact air bags. He really likes it and it has been a good vehicle for him / us.
Not a Tacoma but I bought a 2015 Tundra

Many of my coworkers have them. My only knock on them has been the price they paid for them.

for a tacoma 6 years ago and I torture my tacoma and will have it for another 100,000 miles at least.

The Canyon felt like a tin can.

think it was a 2001 model.

the trim was shoddy, and had an issue with the water pump. had the frame replaced when it rusted through.

I'd consider buying another one if I had the hankering for a truck again, but I think the Toyota quality thing is a bit overstated (had a few issues with a Corolla, too).
I love my 2014.

Not a single complaint.
my dad's had two, excellent trucks

only issue was his '96 had the well-known awful rusting frame issue. I'd suggest doing some research on when Toyota resolved it.
My limited will be here in three weeks..

right now I am just trying to decide what things I am adding to it, what kind of lift to get, etc

Regarding the earlier post about rusted frames. They apparently corrected that. Plus, there are a lot of people who had their frames replaced for free by Toyota OR were handed a huge check for like $10k or more. Those people just used the money to buy a new one.

I also like the Tundra but do not like the fuel mileage. It is around 13mpg if you are lucky. The new Tacoma is getting around 24mpg.

I was about to buy a 2015 in Jan but then saw the changes they were making to the 2016 and decided to hold out.

So, I am selling a 2003 Explorer Sport Trac if anyone is interested. It is in pristine condition but has 180k miles.
