Jennings runs out of bounds.
Beckham has a ball go out of his hands.
Eli throws a stupid slant.
Not one play runs the clock down when a FG gives us a 17 point lead. I am not one to blame coaches or players. But that shit has to stop. There's a lot of stupidity by EVERYONE. Coaches, quarterback, running backs, WRs. Its absolute madness.
No one's perfect
Coughlin is turning into Andy Reid as a game manager
GO GIANTS
THE GIANTS WIN
Yeah Baby
!!!!
this team has shown a complete inability to understand how to control the clock thus far.
2-2 is nice...but still room to improve.
Run 3 plays up the middle and eat the clock. Short FG puts Buffalo down 3 scores with about 3 minutes left in the game.
Even if the Bills call TO, then they're down 3 scores with about 4 minutes to go with no time outs.
They need to fucking quit it.
GO GIANTS
THE GIANTS WIN
Yeah Baby
!!!!
Odell needs to hold onto that ball... I think he just dropped it.
No one's perfect
Right the Giants are above criticism after a win. smh
The Giants have a very easy schedule coming up but they should be 3-1 at worst and even 4-0 if not due to bad clock clock management/play calling.
Those who focus on the win fine. Start your own thread. This is a very reasonable and understandable topic.
Exactly. It's elementary.
WOOoooooo HoooooOOOOOOO
!!!!
GO GIANTS
THE GIANTS WIN
Yeah Baby
!!!!
So the HC can't say:"OK fellas, let's just run it 3 times and be aware of not getting stripped."? Is he in charge or not?
No one's perfect
Remarkable
They need to fucking quit it.
Ok That made me laugh
Comments here apply:
Did TC forget how to count?
If he going senile?
Can you imagine if that TD was not called back near the 2 minute warning.........An onside kick and watch out..........

McAdoo calls the offense. That is his doing and he hasn't learned a damn thing. The run out of bounds was not wise, I don't understand 2 throws after that. The slant was a bad call, but that INT was 100% on Eli.

McAdoo is responsible for all the play calling. Quinn is responsible for everything STs. Spags is solely in charge of defense. Eli is in charge of time management and knowing the rules. Reese is responsible for every single roster move. The players in general are responsible to police their own leadership-y stuff.
I'm not really sure what TC's actual role and responsibilities are for many on BBI, but god damn it, he's great at it.
I don't mind being aggressive up 17 to try to make it 24 points.
Just a great play by the defender, and a poor play by Randle. Kinda finessed it when he should have boxed out.

That's the problem. They weren't up 17. They were up 14. Huge difference in that scenario.
We have failed in virtually every big spot in these areas all year. It's already cost us 1 game. Arguably 2. And could have cost us today.
I'm losing faith in this staff every week. These are inexcusable errors.
Most egregious example was Dallas. That game was won with proper clock handling. Mystifying.

They went for the kill shot and missed. They ran a high percentage play, and the CB made a good play on the ball. He reached the land mark before RR did.

They tried to be aggressive running a high percentage passing concept, a slant. Credit the defender for hitting the landmark before RR got there.
There was literally ZERO reason to be aggressive there. It's not about a high percentage pass play. They passed TWICE!
3 runs up the middle, kick the FG, and go up 3 scores. Game over.
Said this on another thread, but if Buffalo took that pick to the house Coughlin & McAdoo need to be suspended.
We won, but that is an example of "what not to do".
Cater it. Nothing threatening.
This is not a general "be aggressive" versus "kneel on the ball" debate. As others have said, considering the score and the time left, there was ZERO reason to run the sequence we did, specifically on 3rd down.
The only play that makes sense is to run it, running the time down further, and kick the FG if you don't convert.
Actually, I would.
I would have said they are playing with fire there, totally unnecessary.
Then cracked open a beer.
But for those saying it was the right call, just not right execution is the ONE reason when you practically have the game clinched you don't do this. Shit happens.
And therein lies the problem.
That's the spirit. Those icebergs don't scare me on this ship, lets speed up....

TC defended the decision to throw. If he had to do it again, he would do it again. There's nothing to "fix."
And therein lies the problem.
Kicking the field goal on 1st down was a better course of action than throwing it.
Baffling how, as a fan, you can sit here and know those things and yet somehow the guys on the sideline seem not to. It's alarming and it's becoming a much too familiar theme in all of these games.
It's got to get fixed. Because it's going to happen in a bigger spot later in the season and potentially ruin everything.

Absolutely with you. And regardless, I'm not one of the people out to get rid of anyone. To me, this is just one of those things they for whatever reason they don't see as a weakness
IMO after the SB everyone has to be on the same page. Not even debating the correct strategy with that statement, just proper preparation. The fact that the QB/RB isn't sure, coaching playcall is iffy and we find ourselves in the same situations today and have lost some games in part because of it, I guess it is what it is. Love TC, but when he got here they touted his clock mgmt. Yet to me it always played out as a weakness on the field W or L. We should have learned after the SB if not 4 yrs later, simply happens too often
