While we're all elated with the win yesterday (OK, all of us except radar), the offense shot itself in the thigh a few times yesterday.
I thought Harris did a solid job out there. But wouldn't it be nice to be able to shuttle him in and out, sharing time with Randle and only occasionally having him play the 3rd guy?
Put me with the folks who wonder about Welker's health. I'd really hate to see him go down and stay down after a hit over the middle. But if he is sound, and can still produce, I think a player with his savvy could be a really nice piece to add, even if his role was relatively limited.
Some chatter from an alleged ass-hat last week that he'd be getting a call.
So, is Wes Welker still a conversation this week?
My guess is Will Tye goes back to PS and they sign Welker this week.
Welker gets the call
Welker gets the call
let me amend this slightly -- but ir'ed or expected not to play for another month
Doesn't Reggie want to play for the other Manning?
My guess is Will Tye goes back to PS and they sign Welker this week.
If he can play, why wouldn't you want the Giants to sign him?
I don't know what the point is on waiting for Cruz to sign Welker, considering Fells to IR opens up a spot.
The way things are going, I don't understand why Cruz doesn't go onto short term IR coupled with a Welker signing.
I'd like them to sign Fauria, move Cruz to short term IR, sign Welker. If Cruz can come back later in the season, Beatty can come back and help the line, and JPP can be a situational pass rusher towards the end of the season, I think the Giants will have a shot to get hot and make some noise in the playoffs.
I know some are saying that Cruz and JPP will both not contribute, but I think we can squeeze something out of them this year. I'm actually more optimistic in JPP contributing something than Cruz to be honest.
I'm still a terrific cook. Fuckers.
Welker has had multiple concussions, it wouldn't surprise me if NYG decided not to provide him an opportunity to risk his health.
We just played Game 4 of 16. Months to go here. If Cruz is able to give it a go for a team that's in the hunt, with a shot, even around Week 13-14, I think we need to think of things that way.
For fun, let's say the Giants are tied for or vying for the division lead with a couple, maybe 3 games left. We signed Welker, who's now comfortable with the offense. Randle is more sound, Harris is more tested, and OBJ is, well, OBJ.
Holy crap, add Victor Cruz to the mix for a handful of plays?
Cliche time ... it's a marathon, folks.
