This is what I call the start of the Mets 3rd season this year.

Pre-July 24th, post-July 24th, and now playoffs.

I really wanted home field but I think Collins got spooked when Cespedes got plunked Wednesday night. The last week of the season was certainly frustrating but it's over now and doesnt matter. 90 wins and here we go.

deGrom, Thor, Harvey.

It looks looks like Matz will test the back and if all checks out he gets the ball in a potential game 4. If not, Colon if up 2-1 in the series, deGrom on short rest if down 2-1.

How is Flores's back?
Will Uribe be available?

Any idea when they will announce NLDS start times?

I think Matz will be. I have a feeling we're actually going to hit one of the two aces pretty well. I think we need our aces to really come up big here.

Also saw on twitter Collins said JdG is prepared for 3 days if nec

and they are ready to "unleash" all of the young arms. I have a lot of faith in our pitchers matching up with 2 of the best in the game and having a big advantage in game 3. I also think Familia is an advantage in our favor.

My 1 concern is defense, especially the infield. Could very easily see Wright or Murphy sailing a throw or Duda not digging one out in a big moment. Or a passed ball. None of those guys are positive impact defenders.

Offensively I think both of these teams are a total grab bag. Cespedes/AGon could hit 5 homeruns or strikeout every other AB. No idea what Puig/Wright/Duda will do. Could easily see Howie Kendrick or Murphy ending up being the best hitters for either team.

The Mets play the Dodgers on Oct 9, 10, 12 and if necessary the 13th and 15th. Everything else is in the link.

Even if he does pitch, I wonder how effective he will be - it will be 3 weeks since he last pitched...

A squad, B squad, didn't seem to matter.

This series will come down to our pitching advantage in game 3
