FF 10/6 -- Trade Advice

BleedingBlue2 : 10/6/2015 1:01 pm
Someone in my league offered me the following:
--------------------------------------
Steve Smith Sr. for Gionvani Bernard (Yes, I know Steve Smith has micro fractures in his back).

--------------------------------------
My dilemma is the following:

* My 3rd WR right now is Andre Johnson (OBJ and James Jones WR1 and WR2) and my WRs on my bench are very weak but potential long term plays (Beckham Green, DeVante Parker, Charles Johnson).

* I am pretty solid at RB: Hill, Bernard, Gurley, Spiller, Matt Jones.

--------------------------------------

My current thoughts is that FF is a marathon and not a sprint and that I should make the trade. Playing both Hill and Bernard is very tough to do weekly/with Gurley coming back and Spiller potentially getting more time it seems like I need to pick on of the Bengals backs and stick to them. I would love to get other peoples thoughts because right now Andre Johnson is killing me.

at least someone was smart enough

Well played! I actually drafted Jones with my last pick while he was still on NYG. If only I was the GM of the Giants.... (Sarcasm.)

You can end the thread now.
But getting back to your question
Sly Guy : 10/6/2015 1:28 pm : link
I won't do it. Bernard is a good chip to have since you have Hill. Smith was trending down towards the end of last year and who knows how he's going to be this year after his injury?
top waiver pick ups this week
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 1:29 pm : link
I have no idea and probably holding the #1 for another week.
Wait on Steve Smith,...
TheEvilLurker : 10/6/2015 1:29 pm : link
I have him on my team, and he does pick up a lot of points when healthy. Wait and see if he is.
Hope you don't mind me piggy backing your thread

Should I trade Arian Foster for Jeremy Hill and Carlos Hyde?

My RBs at the moment:

Foster, Jennings, Morris, Crowell, Antonio Andrew

I wanted to get both Hill and Ingram but the other owner said it was too much. Should I settle or reject the current trade on the table?
Drop Johnson and pick up Herns
superspynyg : 10/6/2015 1:31 pm : link
From Jax. He is clearly # 2 there
I would absolutely trade Foster for the haul
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 1:32 pm : link
Foster is not a given, and could easily see him dinged again. Hill and Hyde give you an RB1/2 + a RB2/Flex.
I would look for a better trade.
Natek212 : 10/6/2015 1:37 pm : link
Gio is still getting the majority of touches in a run heavy offense.
Who do u like better going forward?
superspynyg : 10/6/2015 1:37 pm : link
VJax or Hurns? Have a chance to pickup one
I'm stacked at WR
Natek212 : 10/6/2015 1:40 pm : link
with OBJ/Marshall/Hopkins/Fitzgerald.

I'm weak at tight end. Would it be a good idea to trade one of my WR's (not OBJ) for Jimmy Graham?
VJax
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 1:42 pm : link
hurns needs to keep doing it. I'd rather take the proven guy.
yes definitely
pjcas18 : 10/6/2015 1:45 pm : link
Foster for Hill and Hyde.

I was offered the following:

Mark Ingram and Donte Moncrief

for

Todd Gurley and David Johnson

keeper league, ppr.

I am hurting at RB though not because of volume.

I have CJ Anderson, Carlos Hyde, Todd Gurley, David Johnson and Antonio Andrews

Would you do it?
I wouldn't trade Gurley
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 2:00 pm : link
he has too much upside. Ingram you know what you are going to get in that offense which is struggling. Moncrief is a nice add but I generally hate trading for someone that was just picked up on waiver. Call it defensive trading if you will
non-keeper I might deal Gurley for Ingram
giants#1 : 10/6/2015 2:05 pm : link
in a keeper, no way.

He got cold feet. Pulled the trade offer back. Sad times.
I'm the only one left undefeated in my 14 team ppr league
beatrixkiddo : 10/6/2015 2:14 pm : link
with WR's carrying my team. However, RB is so damn thin right now. I have Woodhead, Anderson, Stewart, and Coleman. So horrid. I'm finally dropping Stewart and taking a shot on Antonio Andrews. Hope I can get something solid going there.

I wouldn't drop a starter for an unknown rookie RB in a RBBC. I say tihs as an Andrews owner myself.
why would you drop Stewart?
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 2:37 pm : link
seems like a horrible decision considering he has no competition.
need some advice
GMenLTS : 10/6/2015 3:18 pm : link
Would you trade AJ and Luck for Julio and Tyrod or Lamar?

I'd be trading AJ

I have Eli as a back up right now but he looks like a better option than luck each week. And being 1-3 with AJ's bye coming soon, grabbing julio would be ideal while I try and get back in the race, his bye isn't til week 10

I would make that deal if I were you. Eli is doing better than Luck to this point, and Julio is looking like the #1 WR. I would avoid Miller though and take Taylor and play QB matchups. Miller has done exactly jack shit so far.
i would take it
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 3:54 pm : link
and i'd try for someone other than Miller.
I have a trade offer to consider
BeerFridge : 10/6/2015 4:10 pm : link
Trade Arian Foster to get Emmanuel Sanders?

I have Foster, Gurley, Dion Lewis and Blount and CJ2K (old guy version) at RB

I have Jeffrey, John Brown, K. Wright and R. Randle (and a hurt Dez Bryant at WR).

I am leaning toward taking it because I think it will help me and I'm not sure what I'll get out of Foster the rest of the year.
he didnt realize how well tyrod's done
GMenLTS : 10/6/2015 4:16 pm : link
Off the table

Bout to do gio and aj for julio
So who are you guys targeting on waivers
UConn4523 : 10/6/2015 6:42 pm : link
?
Giants D
pjcas18 : 10/6/2015 7:47 pm : link
still available in my leagues.

that's it that's attractive on waivers.
Willie Snead
Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 10/6/2015 8:25 pm : link
Not kidding. Now seeing more snaps that Brandon Coleman and averaging solid points in PPR as a WR3/4. Kamar Aiken and Eddie Royal also at WR, but I'm looking for a higher floor.

People are pumping up Christine Michel for RB, but I'm not sold.
Trade
Mr. Nickels : 10/6/2015 8:33 pm : link
Matt Ryan Arian Foster Eric Ebron

for

Aaron Rodgers Jimmy Graham Dion Lewis?

My other 3 RBs are Hill Freeman and Murray
Graham will be up and down this year.
superspynyg : 10/6/2015 8:41 pm : link
So no. He is no worth it this year.
