is that his antics are creating a growing list of dudes that want to knock his block off legally or illegally. Love the guy, but he can be just as effective without the after the whistle nonsense.
Step on eli after another guy fell on top of him after he went down and gave himself up on the play? Im glad someone took a swing at him, he deserved it.
"His world is based on hype and that one catch," Gilmore said. "Everybody sees that, everybody knows him for that and people don’t really look at the film and watch him and really don’t know what type of player he is."
I'm not defending any cheap shots by OBJ but he just broke the NFL record for catches/yards(?) for the first 16 games of a career. That's a bit more than "hype and that one catch".
If that article was about Dez Bryant throwing punches at your team, you'd all be having a heart attack.
I don't think its sour grapes at all. The exposure he's recieved for that catch has been insane. Even I was getting a bit sick of seeing him all over the place this offseason. He needs to come back down to Earth.
Some knucklehead on BBI intimated that that play warranted retaliation from the Bills. As if blocking downfield is now some sort of no-no. Weird people blabbering about nonsense lately.
You don't see Calvin Johnson carrying on like that. In general, I'm not a fan show boating or some of the crap we see from Beckham. If he wasn't a Giant, I would probably despise him.

I don't think he's the one telling Fox and NBC to keep replaying the catch.

And I'm not saying that it being replayed is a bad thing. Just to stay humble.
and focuses a little more on making the plays that really hurt. With his talent his play should do all the talking. The refs hear the trash talking too and will give the DB's the benefit of the doubt on some calls with OBJ.
Watkins is a better player than Beckham?? Beckham has only had 1 play and that is why he has hype? seriously??
Watkins: 71 receptions 1081 yards and 7 TDs in 19 games
Beckham 115 receptions 1612 yards and 14 TDs in 16 games
Who is the better receiver??
Not saying you are wrong, but one guy had Eli throwing to him the other had Kyle Orton. Watkins is a damn good WR and would be putting up numbers with the Giants too.

Trash talking happens in every game, on every play in the NFL...
have you see Aaron Rodgers play? he talks to every player that gets into his face, you think he is telling them to have a nice day??
but it's not like this is the first time opposing players have bitched about his antics. I've never heard defensive players take those types of (verbal) shots at Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald, etc. He's got some growing up to do.

I am not saying Watkins is a bad receiver but right now Beckham is hands down the better receiver..
are over. he's got to start concentrating on his job and work harder at getting open and catching whats thrown to him. He probably should have had the TD he had two hands on in the endzone too; difficult catch with defender on you, but one a player of his caliber has to make. He's still growing as a receiver though and that has to be taken into account also. Guy is just 22 years old, I think. He'll mature and get better as a receiver, no doubt in my mind, but he does have to stop the extra curricular activity otherwise he'll get flagged too.

This is where a Veteran like Cruz or Eli need to take control and tell him to cool it.
Calvin Johnson and Fitz are quiet, understated guys Â

Why is it that Brown acting like a huge asshole was ok? Meanwhile they are complaining about Beckham doing things that nobody else saw.
Beckham has a target on his back because he is good, and has gotten a lot of media attention. Combine that with the facts they the Giants just beat them, and they are coached by Rex Ryan and you get a lot of sour grapes and trash talk.
That's it. Is Beckham is the first and only guy to ever talk trash on the field? Is Beckham the one who keeps showing his highlights on the networks? And is Beckham at fault for getting sponsor deals and more money than those complaining about him? Almost every player on the field, and I'd guarantee basically every player on the Bills talks trash, gets in your face, says nasty things, and throws punches and shoves and slaps. But Beckham is a "prima donna"? Sure. Always find it fascinating how the players labeled as being a "prima donna" by other players in all major sports are usually the most successful ones. I'm sure that's just a coincidence though. It's jealousy and always has been in sports.
However, if he plays like that don't cry like a bitch when somebody plays you aggressively (or blocks you on a pick). Beckham get bent out of shape when guys get physical with him. We have seen it often. And now he throws a punch after a block and runs off and hides behind others.
Gilmore? He's a damn good player who makes some pretty good points about Beckham.
I gotta say, the Bills have a point here. I really hope Beckham chills out. He's going to get kicked out of a game if he doesn't, and I don't want to have to root for an asshole WR like I'm an Eagles, Cowboys, or Redskins fan. Link - ( New Window )

Bills have to find an excuse from somewhere so they do not look like a dirty team...
This is there way of deflecting the blame and putting on someone else...
Players after the game even said they were embarrassed by their performance and the penalties, so they have to find a reason for it...
notion that Eli was upset with Beckham throughout the game?
He didn't throw his direction much and when he did it appeared that Odel was not on the same page or running the correct routes. I distinctly recall one play where Eli signaled to Beckham after an incompletion.
But, it is also something worth addressing by the coaching staff. This is not the first game in which he has had some aggressive after the play activity. Some of it has been relatively harmless, and some was lucky not to get flagged. He is a tremendous talent. It would be a shame if he starts to overshadow that with questionable acts on the field.
The one thing this complaint may accomplish is put OBJ under a microscope by officials. He needs to cut the shit.

Eli targeted Beckham 12 times most of any WR...
but they definitely were not on the same page, a number of times Eli threw a back shoulder when Beckham just kept going...
who take every opportunity to knock a Giant players--especially good ones. It's a weird thing. I think it comes from listening to your daddies whining about the shitty Giants over the years so your nerve endings are predisposed to being unhappy--even when things are going well.
He was not very good against Buffalo.
Bummer.
Oh boo hoo the Giants players were talking trash, oh boo hoo Beckham said mean things to me...grow the fuck up

The Bills got 4 personal fouls/unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in that game. Stop blaming other people for your stupidity.

He's already marked by a few teams.

St. Louis didn't even try and hide it.
I watch/go to the games, I haven't seen anything.....I'd like to see it.
Is it a punch/jab, or push. Huge difference.

Fine, I'll take the loss on this one.
