and moved from UMass (I can only assume that he was expelled) to UConn (where I can only assume he will be expelled). I'd say entitled if only because somehow nobody is holding him accountable.
Oddly he was charged with trespass but not assault or underage drinking.
so both UMass and UConn are out of state tuition. Not sure about you guys but after my first time in trouble (and that wouldn't even mean being arrested) I would have been cut off and paying for school out of my own pocket.

1. Yeah, jalapeno/bacon mac-n-cheese sounds great.
2. The manager is the most patient guy EVER, which as probably a mistake. Would have been better to call the cops earlier, who would have escorted the kid out.
3. Yeah, the employee who steps in and grabs the kid after the push is Employee-of-the-Year.
How many of us have been stupid drunk in public before? Many of us. How many of us have been arrested multiple times for harassing people? Not too many.
How many times did that idiot shove him? They should have put him on the ground the second he put his hands on someone. He was about to get his ass kicked at the 3:50 mark, the cook approached and looked like he was going to drop him until the manager led him away. He got lucky, that guy looked ready to put him through the floor. And he's done this more than once, apparently. His ignorant ass could stand to learn a few life lessons. And by "life lessons" I mean losing some teeth. Maybe that sounds harsh to some but I have very little patience for drunken assholes.
Reminds me of the thread a few weeks back where Ronnie and I were discussing the few times violence is an appropriate response to dealing with people. He was belligerent, ignorant, and put his hands on someone. The first two are fairly easy to ignore. But once you put your hands on someone all bets are off. In my book he falls under the heading of "Sometimes people just need to get punched".
I have a friend, well not really anymore, who is now a 30 year old version of this video. He's been to jail twice for two DUI's and pretty much starts a fight every time we go out for drinks. I stopped hanging out with him a year ago.
This kid is 19 and his time to get it figured out. But he needs to sit in jail for a night or two, lose his standing at UConn, and get help.
The he's just drunk thing really doesn't fly with me. I went to UConn and got blasted all the time. Wound up at Srgt. Pepp's and ordered pizza like everyone else. Never was a complete asshole to someone for no reason.

and he deserves it, but this incident reinforces my gratitude that I did not go through the adolescent and young adult years with video apparatuses recording my every action and incident. Plastering them on the internet for the whole world to see.
I hope I was never this big of a douche and I won't say definitively, but I know I had some pretty f-ing low moments.
actions have consequences far more permanent and far reaching than when I was growing up.
Not sympathizing for this asshole, just breathing a sigh of relief for the asshole I used to be and luckily grew out of.
wanna bet this kid's parents file suit against the cop and everyone else who came into contact with this little cocksucker? He didn't get to be such douche by accident.

I feel like you might be a slow learner.
Yup, turning a back on a friend is something I definitely like doing as soon as the opportunity presents itself...

Dude, Wings Over or DP Dough. What is wrong with you, UConn?
but we have a running joke about DP Dough tasting the same no matter what flavor you order.
Was never a fan of wings over Storrs. I'm hard to please in general with wings.
I wish I was there for longer when the student union was finished. It was done as of my senior year and it was such a massive upgrade from that shitty building Jonathons was in.
He was arrested twice in 2014 once for disorderly conduct and the other for disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer. The manager showed incredible restraint. All the attention that this kid is about to receive is well deserved.
Got what's coming to him in the moment and the consequences afterward.
Without the video he might never (if he ever does) realize what an asshole he is. Blackout drunk is oblivious and unaccountable even if one loses teeth to a punch in the process.
works as a kitchen worker himself is the height of irony and hilarity. I'm sure his court-appointed counselor will have a field day analyzing that one.
drinking and inebriated, yes. wasted out of his mind? no. he was way too articulate and steady on his feet. Looked to me like he's just a douchebag kid who had a few, was feeling it, and then let his douchebag side come to the forefront (although I'm guessing it's always at the forefront). Let's face it, lots of us got drunk in college, stumbled our way to an eatery, and ordered. We were obviously drunk and still got served.
entitled probably isn't the right word. pampered brat who thinks that if he acts like an asshole long enough he'll get his way (probably worked for him with his parents his whole life) is more like it.

My daughter was visiting the college team she (assistant) coached last year (a lot of well-to do families). They were telling her that one of the girls was overtly insubordinate, like screaming disrespectful stuff at the coach from the middle of the field) during the last game. He took her from the starting line-up for the next game and also had her run a fitness test in practice (as well as apologize to the team). Apparently her parents now have lawyers talking to the college.
I felt the food service workers showed incredible patience, until they finally had to take him down.
Parents must be proud.
Nah, the alcohol just let his true colors run out.
He sounded pretty entitled when he was demeaning the manager for working wherever he was.
The best part is how the cop opens the door with his face at the end.
Subsequent news story - ( New Window )
Oddly he was charged with trespass but not assault or underage drinking.
They won't realize he's missing the "o"
Look how red his eyes are from crying, haha.

This kid is a piece of shit. Expel him, send him to rehab, and maybe he'll be productive one day.
He also put the cuffs on Tight :)
He did loosen the cuffs though.
The manager was amazingly patient (he probably deals with drunk kids a lot). And you can tell how much respect he gets from his employees.

Yeah i've heard. I haven't been back since probably 2009 so I haven't seen any of the new stuff.
