Prior to the season, some of us had little hope (Myself included). the were reasons to doubt a good season such as our safety positions, pass rushers, OL, Etc.
After watching the first quarter and seeing how this team had double digit leads in every single game, I feel very confident in this team. I think blowing those two games is a blessing in disguise. If they were 4-0 it would be great but they might think they are better than they are and won't play as hard (happened before). The run defense is elite. The LBs are playing great. The safeties are not giving up big plays. The only thing that concerns me is the pass rush. I only worry they will catch up to us.
After the first four week the giants still get no respect. People think that they are not a real threat to anyone and still not even the division. Everyone picked the bills to beat the giants and they got embarrassed. They won the last two games by double digits. Still, people believe in the eagles like chip kelly is bill belichek. To me, the giants can play with anyone. Spags is doing a great job with this unit. And when cruz and hopefully jpp come back that will be a bonus.
The giants have games ahead they should win, however, they need to stay focused and keep playing with that chip on their shoulder. They have a good opportunity with this stretch of games ahead. Let's hope they keep getting over looked.
If the offense gets clicking a bit, especially in the redzone, the Giants may surprise me and do better than I expected.
Dallas lost WR Dez Bryant, who demands double teams, and it has hurt them and their chances badly. He is their MVP after QB Romo.
As long as WR Beckham stays healthy and continues demanding double teams to take him away this offense will produce. We could really use WR Cruz healthy & productive (circa 2011-12 - God I beg you...LOL!) as that was certainly put us over the top!
Stay healthy, stay hungry.
The defense is just as I suspected: aggressive, gang tackling, and just more energy.
The arrow is definitely pointing in the right direction............
what the giants need to work on - and this has showed up in all four games - is closing games with a lead - both coaches and players need to do a better job in all phases...play calling, clock management, onside kick recovery, prevent defense. it doesn't mean we have to only run the ball up the middle if we are up late in the 4th quarter, it depends who the opponent is/how potent their offense is, field position, size of the lead, momentum of the game, matchups vs their defense....just better awareness and focus from everyone late in the game.

Les, well said. The clock management of running out a game in particular needs to be corrected, or else it will really bite us later on.
My real concern: it's happened three seperate times now in four games.
The players all seem to really like the staff and are willing to give 100% for their "Grandpa".
It's obvious the players have bought into the staff & system 100% and when they do win games, that belief gets reinforced.
