“I love seeing Tom Brady, he’s cool as crap,” Hardy said. “Have you seen his wife? I hope she comes to the game. I hope her sister comes to the game, all her friends come to the game. One of my favorite games of the year, guys.” Asked what he would say to those who feel he should not be on the team because he was found guilty by a judge of domestic violence, Hardy replied, “God bless you. That’s the message.” What he learned most about himself through the ordeal, Hardy said, was that he’s a “really good pass rusher when I put my mind to it.” His central concerns now, he said, are winning and getting sacks, adding that, “I’m really good at that.” |
There's no video of what he did.
Rice's 'incident' was caught on film and released for all to see. Hardy's wasn't. That makes a big difference to the general public, sadly.
Ok then...
Seriously. reading those comments there has to be doubts about the man's sanity.
Rice didn't get the chance because he was pretty much done as a player.
1. As others mentioned, there was video of Rice
2. The fork in Rice's back. Hardy was still performing at a top level before the suspension.
I believe Hardy has a performance incentive tied to sacks, so hopefully he goes all out trying to accumulate them and gives up some huge runs due to undisciplined play!

Let's be real... number 2 is a far more important reason as for why Ray Rice isn't playing. If he was still in his prime, the Ravens would've welcomed him back like AP.
Sounds like a born Cowboy.
:-)
They're actually saying the guy is completely innocent because there was no evidence against him.
Rice didn't get the chance because he was pretty much done as a player.
I don't think this is the case. Rice had one bad year... IMO, it was the definite media firestorm that would have come.
Random non football fans know who Rice is. They don't know who Hardy is.
I'm not saying Rice's uncertain status as a good football player didn't contribute, as it certainly did, but I don't think it was the main reason.
"Somebody better just give him a Super Bowl trophy before someone get hurt!"
You registered just to write that?
Then he be the ideal NYG.

I didn't register today, so whats your point. I've been on this board for 5 years. just picked a new name after the upgrade/crash/whatever happened that made us reregister
hopes that answers your question.
and like I was saying, one of the reasons why Ray Rice and Hardy are viewed differently is because people feel sympathy for Janay, not so much for the other chic.
Rice punched his fiancé in the face, her head hit a pole and he drug her out of an elevator like he didn't care.
Hardy tossed a chic (that was high on cocaine) on a futon.
That's a big difference to me. And I live in Charlotte and know dudes that smashed ol girl, at the same time.
I'm not justifying his actions, just sayin
true!
This clown needs to go.

why should this be bannable? dude, I live in charlotte. I've seen the chic out. two guys that I shoot ball with "done nasty things to her at the same time". its in the police report that she snorted cocaine regularly. like, I'm not slandering the chic or anything. that's who she is/was back in 2014 when everything went down.
based on that, why should I be banned?

and get do illicit drugs, get underage hookers, commit date rape, cheat on his wife, etc etc etc

But if my decoder ring is on, I think it means we need players like Hardy here?
If it is referring to LT, it seems a strange comparison, especially since I don't think LT even choked out and bragged about slamming a women into a cache of weapons.

I think he's referring to LT. and wondering why guys are so bent out of shape about Hardy, when our own beloved player was worst. that's what I THINK he's saying, I could be wrong tho
Whether the woman was on drugs or not has no bearing on whether she deserved to get beaten.
This asshole did something horrible and should be punished for it, not rewarded with another NFL contract. The fact that other people have gotten away with similar acts doesn't absolve him of anything.
Smart guy, sounds like he used his domestic violence induced suspension to do some real soul searching, learn about himself as a man.

He was punished tho. He was suspended, with pay. And also suspended w/o pay this year.
People want him to act a certain way and say certain things. But in all honesty, I think the guy has just moved on from it. This happenedition 1.5 years ago. But because this is the medias first opportunity to talk to him, they expect his feeling of remorse to be fresh (if he ever did feel remorse)
And he was given a whopping 4 games this year, basically a present for getting away with a really shitty crime. I hate him a year ago, i hate him now, and i'll hate him next year too. What does 1.5 years ago have to do with anything?
Yeah, piece of shit.
And as far as I know, LT never used underage hookers while playing. And snorting coke doesn't even compare to what Hardy did. But I'm 31 so I was pretty young when LT was dominating so maybe he did beat women.
